One mobile thief arrested:- Gokalpuri police have arrested one Deepak 21 yrs for allegedly picking a mobile phone form the pocket of a commuter. According to DCP/North East, while the complainant Pradeep Tyagi R/O Panchwati Colony, Loni was travelingin a DTC bus on route of outer mudrika, the alleged picked the mobile phone from his pocket. The complainant instantly realized the removal of phone as the earphone plugged in his ears suddenly got disconnected. He raised alarm and with the help of co passengers the alleged was caught and handed over to the local police. During investigation Deepak was found to be involved in three criminal cases of different nature.

Public help is sought in identifying the dead bodies :- New Delhi Railway police have sought public help in identifying the body of a female, aged around 30/35 years, Ht. 5’5”, round face, wheatish complexion, strong built, wearing mehroon colour suit-salwar, found on 13.9.07.

Railway Main Delhi police have sought public help in identifying the body of a male, aged around 30/35 years, Ht. 5’3”, wheatish complexion, long face, wearing brown shirt, found on 16.9.07.

Kishan Ganj Railway police have sought public help in identifying the body of a male, aged around 65/70 years, Ht. 5’2”, wheatish complexion, long face, found on 16.9.07.

(IMMERSION PROCESSION OF BHAGWAN VISHWAKARMA)

On 20th September 2007 immersion procession of Idols of Bhagwan Vishwakarma will be taken out from the area of Karol Bagh. The route of these processions will be as under: -

a) SUBARNA DURGA PUJA SAMITY

START AT 1.00 PM FROM HARDHYAN SINGH ROAD (RAVI DAS ROAD), REGHAR PURA AND WILL PROCEED VIA GANGA MANDIR MARG – D.B.G. ROAD – EAST PARK ROAD – FILMISTAN – AZAD MARKET – BURF KHANA – TIS HAZARI AND TERMINATE AT GEETA GHAT, YAMUNA RIVER.

b) BEADONPURA DURGA PUJA SAMITI, KAROL BAGH, NEW DELHI

START AT 12.00 NOON FROM PYARE LAL ROAD, VISHNU MANDIR MARG – D.B.G. ROAD – EAST PARK ROAD – FILMISTAN – AZAD MARKET CHOWK – BURF KHANA – TIS HAZARI – ISBT – CHANDGI RAM AKHARA – VISARJAN GHAT AT YAMUNA RIVER.

c) DELHI SWARANKAR SANGH, REGHER PURA, KAROL BAGH, NEW DELHI.

START AT 2.30 PM FROM PYARE LAL ROAD – VISHNU MANDIR MARG – LANE NO. 5,6, REGHAR PURA – SARASWATI MARG – D.B.G. ROAD –EAST PARK ROAD – FILMISTAN – AZAD MARKET – BURF KHANA – TIS HAZARI – ISBT AND TERMINATE AT GEETA GHAT, YAMUNA RIVER.

These processions will start lining up around 1200 hrs at the stipulated places and thereafter around 1400 hrs will start together for their final destination.

The processionists will only be in Tempos. There is no pedestrian movement, the movement will be restricted to vehicles only. As per the movement of the processions the following routes are likely to bear the burden of extra traffic: -

1. Vishnu Mandir Marg

2. DBG Road

3. Faiz Road

4. Rohtak Road

5. Rani Jhansi Road

6. Azad Market Chowk

7. Burf Khana Chowk

8. Boulevard Road

9. Ring Road near ISBT to Wazirabad bridge

Elaborate traffic arrangements have been laid down for regulation, diversion and stoppage of traffic along the route of the procession. General Public and motorists must follow the directions given by the Traffic Police deployed along the route and plan their journey accordingly so that they avoid in convenience.

NOTORIOUS DRUGGING GANG BUSTED, 3 MEMBERS ARRESTED.

With the arrest of (i) Mohd. Tahir @ Tahior (27 Yrs.) R/o Vill. Barwani P.S. Chhapra Bihar (ii) Lal Bahadur (27 Yrs.) R/o Vill. Santul Bita Distt. Kishanganj Bihar and (iii) Ibrahim R/o Vill. Vilayati Bari Distt. Kishanganj Bihar (36 years), Special Staff of South-West Distt. busted a notorious drugging gang operating in Delhi and NCR.

In recent past, some drugging incidents were reported in Delhi and NCR. Hence, a special team under the close supervision of Shri Dinesh Kumar Gupta, ACP/Operation Cell, South-West Distt. was constituted to track and nab the involved criminals. Sources were deployed. In the meantime, ASI Naresh Chander got a tip off through a reliable source that Tahir @ Tahirul, who had committed several drugging incidents along with his gang members is looking for an unsuspecting prey in a TSR No. DL-1R- J-0235 near Dhaula Kuan Bus Stand, DSOI club gate. A trap was laid and all the three above-mentioned criminals were apprehended along with TSR.

During sustained interrogation it revealed that more than 15 groups of 4-5 persons each are operating in Delhi & NCR. Modus operandi of all groups is same. They would reach ISBT, Railway Stations, Tourist spot in a rented TSR and search the passenger who looks new in the city. One of them starts talking to the passenger and others board the TSR as passenger. On the way TSR driver would stop TSR at CNG Pump on the pretext of filling CNG. In the meantime, one of them who has developed some intimacy with passenger, offers him cold drinks laced with Drug/poisonous substance. When passenger becomes unconscious they take his belongings and throw him at lonely place. They have confessed to be involved in following three case FIR Nos. 313/07 u/s 328/379 IPC P.S. Sarojni Nagar , case FIR No. 39/07 u/s 328/07 Police Station Vasant Vihar and case FIR No. 428/06 u/s 328/34/379 IPC Police Station Kashmere Gate Delhi. Further efforts are being made to arrest their other associates.
