PLAYER/PARENT/GUEST CODE OF CONDUCT
As a member (player or parent) of the Clay Youth Soccer Club I agree to conduct myself in a manner that is becoming to me, the Club, the Coaches and the staff.
- I will show respect at all times for all coaches, all referees, all players, all spectators, and all club officials. This includes respectful language as well as respectful behavior. Foul language and bullying behavior towards
- I recognize that practices and games are equally important. Player and Club development are considerations of CYSC and coaches will base decisions (play time, tournament rosters…) on what is best for both.
- I will arrive at the field 45 minutes before games.
- If I cannot make a game or practice due to a prior obligation, I will notify the team Coach at least 48 hours in advance so that arrangements for substitutes can be made. In the event of illness, I will notify the Coach as soon as possible.
- I realize that players who attend practices may get priority in the game starting line-up. Starting line-ups are based on several factors including attendance at practices, player's position, effort, attitude, etc.
- If chosen for a tournament roster I will accept the invitation if able to attend all tournament games unless the team coaches agree to different arrangements.
- I will leave all venues including practice fields as neat and tidy as I found them and will remove all refuse from my area.
- I will take good care of my uniform and bring both colors on game days.
- I will wear shin guards, appropriate footwear, and bring my own water bottle to all games and practices.
- I am responsible for reimbursing the Club for any and all fines payable by the Club due to my actions or inactions. Failure to pay any fines will result in my suspension from the Club for an indefinite period of time.
- I understand that a spectators are to take the side of the field opposite the teams; spectators will remain at least 3 feet behind the touchline; if, during the match, the spectators behavior is out of line then the referee will ask the coaches to speak to the spectators; if the behavior continues, it is within the discretion of the referee to ask the offending spectator(s) to leave the venue; and the referee shall abandon the match if the spectators become unruly and out of control.
If for any reason the Code of Conduct is not followed by the player, parent, or player guest the situationmay be taken to the Club Board for further action.
