Professional Development
Since March 1998
Due to the sale of RHENUS AG to the Rethmann Group, I took the uncertain aspects for the future as an incentive to start business on my own. Since 1st of March I am active in the field of consulting for logistics, export and trading. In 2005 I started to deal with second hand equipment and machinery as an additional activity.
My special focus lies on the following activities:
· Developing IT/software concepts for transport companies
· Freight audits
· Design and consulting for establishing Internet-Presences
· Service and development of Internet-presences
· Training in the use of MS-Office for transport companies
· Consulting for export to Turkey, Jordan, Iraq, Middle East and North Africa
· Support in finding partners in Turkey, the Middle East and North Africa

Due to educational concerns for my children I requested to return to head-office Rhenus-Frankfurt. Head of the department for international projects- and plant logistics.
October 1990 - December 1996
Foundation of Bayerischer Lloyd Ltd. Sti. as independent Turkish company with Rhenus AG as major shareholder. Position Managing Director. Establishing further branches in Izmir, Mersin and Kapikule with 18 employees. Handling of complex logistic by sea air and overland for projects such as the complete logistics for General Motors -Torbali/Izmir for the CKD-assembly of Opel Vectra and Astra. We handled this project since the factory was established. Ambarli-Powerstation, Water Purification-Plants in Ankara and Izmit. Waste-Incineration-Plant in Izmit and Birecik Dam in south-eastern Anatolia. Initiation of a weekly block-train with Swap-Bodies from Germany to Turkey and vice versa.
For the project with General Motors I was closely involved with software developers to design a logistic software solution to handle all logistic operations by truck, sea and air.

Rhenus AG as Operations Manager for Saudi Arabia. Complete project-handling of complex logistics by sea, air and overland for the Jamjoom Commercial Centre - Jeddah, at the time the biggest shopping centre in the Middle East. Based in Dammam and Jeddah.

Rhenus AG as Delegate for Libya based in Tripolis. Project-handling of complex logistics by sea, air and overland for Homs Power Station, Misurata Steel Plant etc.

Export-clerk with Kestra Schweißelektroden - Neuss. Termination from my part due to lack of prospects.

Deutsche Verfahrenstechnik GmbH - Düsseldorf as project-transport co-ordinator in Tripolis/Libya for imports of complete sea-water-desalination plants. Termination of contract by employer, due to financial difficulties. This company declared bankruptcy shortly afterwards.
