Due to a growth in our client base and an increase in our provision of a Full Service Logistics Solution, we are seeking Customer Service Administrators to work in our Huddersfield Control Centre (HCC), which is a critical part of our operation.Working a shift pattern that covers mornings, evenings, nights and weekends,our Customer Service Administrators play a key role in our client interface.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to gain or build on experience in the logistics industry, particular for those interested in working in the customer service and planning functions.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Deliver an excellent level of customer service to our clients, and our client’s clients. This will include interaction with senior managers as well as with over 1,800 customer sites (mainly Service Stations)
  • Respond to telephone, email and SMS queries, fully documenting how these were resolved, ensuring that all communications are handled accurately, professionally and in a timely manner.
  • To investigate and resolve complaints, or escalate these where necessary.
  • To receive and input orders into our planning system
  • Navigate our planning system and Customer Relationship Managements systems to find information and provide prompt responses to clients’ queries.
  • To reconcile products loaded vs. products delivered and investigate discrepancies
  • Production of both internal and external KPI relating to these.
  • Coordinate the communication and close-out of defects reported at customer sites.
  • Provide administrative support to our planning and despatch teams during peak periods

Requirements

Essential

Reporting to the Customer Service Manager, the ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience of working in a fast-paced customer service / call centre environment, having a confident telephone manner.
  • Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail
  • Be a team player who is able to work to individual and shared deadlines
  • Be flexible in their working hours, and able to cover shifts on a 24/7 operation
  • Demonstrate proficiency in IT, particularly in the use of Microsoft Office Tools Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • Have achieved a GCSE (or equivalent) Grade B or above in both English and Maths.

Desirable

  • Experience in logistics is preferable but not essential.
  • Educated to A-Level (or equivalent) standard
  • Experience of using MS Dynamics
