Tom Smith has a long track-record of research in malaria epidemiology and modelling and leads a team at the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute researching in these areas. His main research program for the last decade has been to develop and apply microsimulation software for predictive modelling of the impact of malaria interventions.
