1.  INTERFIN BANK: CURRENT

POSITION HELD: HEAD RISK AND COMPLIANCE

RESPONSIBILITIES:

·  Actively participates in strategy formulation, implementation and review.

·  Designing and spearheading implementation of the enterprise wide risk management framework.

·  Setting entity wide standards for achieving compliance with the relevant rules, statutes and standards, and ensure that these standards and other compliance principles are effectively communicated, securing the commitment of senior management in the application of these standards and ensuring consistency of approach and practice throughout the bank;

·  Provide a central point of reference and guidance in compliance-related matters and, in particular, advise on a bank’s policy and strategic decisions that might have compliance implications;

·  Continuous measuring and reviewing of the institutions inherent risks, risk management systems and processes, security controls and systems; and making recommendations thereof.

·  Act pro-actively and constructively and assist line management in running the business efficiently, without violating statutory, regulatory and supervisory requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

·  Evaluation of new banking project proposals to ensure that only sound institutions are allowed to enter the market

·  Research and implement contemporary risk management methodologies.

·  Carry out on-site and off-site surveillance to ensure prompt detection of problems in order to promote financial stability

·  Use the risk based approach, CAMELS and RAS rating systems and financial soundness indicators to assess fragility or soundness of banking institutions.
