Idealy I would like a Contracts Management or Commercial Management position within a company that undertakes larger contracts, with a challenge and which offers the opportunity to fully utilize my skills and ability.

EXPERTISE
I started my career as a Site Quantity Surveyor on both Civil and Building Sites, responsible for all activities relating to Site Measurement, Contract Costing, Contract Allowables, Variations, Building up of rates; take off of Quantities and Billing.
I then progressed into Estimating and Pricing and the Tendering of Projects in both, the Civil Engineering and Building Industries as well as the Sub Contractor field, wherein I gained good in site and experience in the buildup of rates, the producing of Contract Allowables and the interaction and appointment of Sub Contractors.
In an effort to gain a wide spread field of experience I diversified and moved into Construction Management and particularly concentrated on the more Specialized Building and Civil Construction for a period before moving back into mainstream Building Construction on Larger Projects.
Throughout my career I have planned my job applications to cover most areas within the construction to give me more balanced expertise and knowledge, within the industry.
I have been effectively engaged on Contracts undertaking responsibilities such as :-
Contract Management and running of Contracts together with a team of Site Supervisors, Foreman, Charge hands, Site Quantity Surveyors, Site Clerks and Store-men. Setting up and establishing of sites, including site offices and facilities, sourcing staff accommodation and setting up workforce encampments as well as dealing with local councils for power and water connections and negotiating with landlords for access and rentals.
The setting up of OHASA and Environmental Requirements including the continual monitoring of Safety, Waste Management and Site Security, and the maintaining of a safe working environment.
The setting up and monitoring of Site Quality Assurance and Quality Controls and the maintaining of these systems throughout the contract.
The management of Human Resources and control of labour and their requirements and grievances on site.
Programming and planning of the contract and monitoring of the same together with the key personnel on site including meeting with the site team as well as sub-contractors.
The resourcing, handling and monitoring the correct use age of Plant and Equipment as well as materials and the storage and distribution of the same.
I have also fulfilled the Estimating and Quantity Surveying roles at senior level and more recently I have been employed outside the country in the role of Contracts and Commercial manager dealing with the more contractual and legal side of contracting and claims for time extension and variations, finalizing of tenders, and liason with sub- contractors, as well as the mentorship of junior quantity surveyors.
