About Myself
Research and teaching have always been my primary thrust area. Even during my thesis on lymphomas in 1978 for my MS Gen SurgI had initiated several innovative ideas in follow-up of the old patients and acquiring dyes from foreign manufacturers. I have also been instrumental in starting the procedure of lymphangiography in the Deptt of Surgery.
In the current time I am currently working on a paper “Bloodless caeserian- no more a myth” which is directed towards assessing and then reducing blood loss at Caeserian operation a project entirely conceived, funded and executed by my private resources (155 cases done so far)
After having startedmy own practice at Ghaziabad, started the process of recording and analyzing records of all OPD patients. Today the hospital has over 25000 records of pts treated/ consulted by both of us in 22 years of practice.
I have taken active interest in forwarding the cause of academics in local professional bodies i.e.;Association of Surgeons and Indian Medical Association (IMA, Ghaziabad Chapter).
During my stay at SIMS I was responsible for retaining emergency surgical cases which I was able to do quit successfully increasing number by 100 percent
During my assignment at Shri Banke Bihari I was deputed to start operation theatre and surgical OPD I have been able to perform more than 20 operations, facing many challenges of a starting surgical setup. This led to the college getting recognition for MDS in 6 dental subjects
Recently I was awarded life membership World Federation of medical education through its South East Asia chapter.
