VRS of Mrs. Neeru Nagpal (PGT - English)Our English PGT Mrs. Neeru Nagpal had applied for V.R. and it was accepted. So on 31.03.2014, it was his last working day in Sangathan as well as in the school. So on this occasion, School Staff Club organized a retirement function for her.

Republic Day Celebration – 2014
Republic Day 2014 was celebrated in the school. The flag hoisting was done by the Chairman Shri Madhukar Roat (Area Manager, Wester Railway). Students presented many cultural programmes.
At the end of the programme, sweets were distributed to all the students.

Annual Day - 2013
The school celebrated Annual Day function on Thursday 19th December 2013. Mr. Madhukar Roat (Area Railway Manager, W Rly & Chairman, VMC KV Railway) was the chief guest and Mr. Divya Mishra (SP, East-Kutch Gandhidham) was the Guest of Honour in the function. Students of all classes participated in this event and showed colourful songs and skits.

KVS Foundation Day
KVS Foundation Day was celebrated in the school on Monday 16th December 2013.
The prograame was conducted by the students of class X. Naveen Rai of class X told about KVS Foundation Day in brief. Vidyalaya Choir sang a group song. Some dances were also presented before the audience.
Admission I/C Mr. Pankaj Singh (PGT-CS) discussed admission guidelines and also told about KVS Golden Jubilee Year Celebrations in KVS. Then Angad Minhas of class X spoke about the new logo of KVS. He discussed in details about new logo.
At the end of the programme, the Principal gave a short speech on origin and importance of KVS in India.

COMPUTER TRAINING FOR SUB STAFF
As per KVS (AR), computer training for Sub Staff for 05 days was organized in the Vidyalaya from 03-12-2013 to 07-12-2013. PGT Computer Science Sh. Pankaj Singh and Computer Instructor (Cont.) Miss Vandana Saraogi acted as a ‘Resource Person’ for this event.
The training was conducted and at the completion of it, certificates were given to the participants on the last day in valedictory function.

ANNUAL SPORTS DAY - 2013
The Annual Sports Day of Kendriya Vidyalaya No 01 Railway Gandhidham was celebrated in the School Play Ground on 07.12.2013. The Chief Guest of the event was Sh Madhukar Roat, Area Manager Western Railway & Chairman VMC, KV Railway Gandhidham. Besides all parents were also witnessed this grand event.
The event started in the morning at 09:00 am. Sh Durga Singh, Principal of the Vidyalaya welcomed the Chairman. The March past of all houses and Lightning of torch was done by the Chief Guest. Then, he declared the Annual Sports Meet open.
In his address, he told all the students that participation is more important in sports day or competition than winning the prizes. He also told that all students should take part in the true spirit of sportsmanship.
Different events like 100 Mt race, 200 Mt race, 400 Mt race, Relay race, Sack race, Spoon race etc. were organized on this occasion. The students took part in all the events very enthusiastically and won many medals.
Races for Parents and the Staff members were also organized.
The programme concluded with the vote of thanks followed by National Anthem.

National Education Day
On Monday 11th Nov 2013, this day was celebrated in the school in the memory of Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad, an eminent educationist and the first Union Minister of Education of Independent India.
The Principal and the Staff members paid their tribute by garlanding and offering flowers to Maulana Abul Kalam Azad portrait.
To mark the occasion, various activities were organised. The students presented Saraswati Vandana. A student threw light on his life and achievements.

Vigilance Week
The Vidyalaya is observing Vigilance week from 28.10.2013 to 02.11.2013. The theme of observing Vigilance Awareness week is “Promoting Good Governance – Positive Contribution of Vigilance”.
On this event, Vidyalaya invited Mr. G. Suresh (Dy Chief Vigilance Officer, KPT, Kandla) to interact with students and teachers on 29.10.2013.

Earth Day Celebration (22nd April 2013)
“कड़ी धूप है – जलते पाँव,होते पेड़ तो मिलती छाँव“
The school observed Earth Day on Monday 22nd April 2013. The school organized skit and poster making competition on this event.
The students of secondary section demonstrated “Prabhat Pheri”. They went to railway colony with a mission of saving trees and earth.

Pravesh Utsav for class I students
The Pravesh Utsav was organized in the school for newly admitted class I students on Friday 5-Apr-2013. The parents came with their ward and met with the principal and teachers of primary wing. The Principal, Admission I/C and teachers discussed rules and regulation of the school with the Parents. At the end, sweets were distributed to students.
