About Books
Cubbies work in either the “AppleSeed Book” or “HoneyComb Book” alternating every year and all Cubbies work in the same book. Because Sparks and T&T books build on each other, Sparks and T&T Clubbers use the first book method. This means that first time clubbers use the first book of that particular club regardless of the clubber’s age.
Clubbers may do multiple books in a year’s time, but may not use books that are ahead of their age. For example, a first grader in Sparks may do“HangGlidder” and “WingRunner” but isnot permitted to start “SkyStormer” until he/she is in the second grade. Likewise, a fourth grade T&T clubber may do “Ultimate Adventure Book One” and “Ultimate Adventure Book Two”, but may not do “Ultimate Challenge Book One” until they are in the fifth grade.
Each club has an Entrance Booklet. Cubbies use the “Apple Acres” brochure, Sparks use “Flight 3:16”, and T&T uses the “Start Zone”. These are provided at no cost to each clubberwhen they begin attending club. Once the Entrance Booklet has been completed the clubber needs to move on to their book.
The cost for each book is $10.00. Included in the Cubbies andSparks books is an audio CD for parents to use at home. If purchasing books creates a hardship for you please contact Denver Moore, the Awana Commander.
