Board Members Absent:

1.  Membership/ Board:

·  WELCOME to our 3 new board members! (now at 10)

·  Currently 33 members

·  Follow up on DMHAS / BRS representation: Val is in contact with Nora Bishop on pursuing this.

·  Follow up 3 more complimentary memberships: self advocates, businesses, family members. Karin will follow up with CT BLN / Melissa Marshall and offer complimentary membership

·  Revised CT APSE brochure at printer. Luddy & Associates printing 300 copies. Will have for 3/31 conference. Also have new pens.

2.  Treasurer’s Report:

·  Balance: Report given

·  Tax filing: Terry will file

3.  National:

·  Complete Nomination for Employer Award / National Conference: Beth Aura obtained letter of support, Karin faxed nomination.

·  National Certification Program

·  New Regional VIII delegate Bryan Dague, UVM / website

·  Students for APSE: Karin will email brochure and Val will copy 200 and get to Greg to put in conference folders

·  Gettinghired.com

·  Focus on Employment First Initiatives

All the above items were information sharing; emails were received from National.

Fiona shared that DMHAS and BRS are having trainings for Mental Health employment initiative

4.  Follow Up / Today’s Focus:

1)  3/31 Conference plans: Who will attend / places to help:

-All board members at this meeting (with the exception of Terry who will be away) will attend conference on 3/31.

-APSE table: 8-9 / Set up Karin

2:45-3:00/ Pack up Val

-Annual Membership Meeting / Raffle 3:00-3:30

2)  Response to request for job coach training: Karin will follow up with ACES to see if still planning. Board agreed on $500. fee for half day session. Karin and Carrie will provide training.

3)  NEXT CT APSE BOARD / MEMBERSHIP MEETING WILL BE MAY 19 (3RD TH) FROM 9 to 11 a.m. at DDS Wallingford

-Greg will put out officer nominations and ballot by email to board members by April 15, 2011. Officers will be announced at this meeting

-Karin will bring grid of all current board members and their terms.

-We will plan our meetings and trainings for 2011-12
