Officer Qualifications and Duties

President:

Attend all officer meetings, every Monday at lunch.

Attend all general CSF/NHS member meetings, held periodically throughout the year.

Conduct all general membership meetings.

Be a direct liaison between the CSF/NHS Club and Ms. Rodriguez, Leadership and Activities Coordinator at Liberty.

Help coordinate all service, social, and fundraising activities with the other officers, active club members, as well as with Mrs. Cocksedge. These events include:

Walk-Through Membership Drive

2nd Term Membership Drive

Homecoming

Candy and Catalog Sales/Fundraising

Community Service Events in Fall and Spring

College Trips

Special Fundraising events

End-of-Year Awards Ceremony

Assist other officers and Mrs. Cocksedge in ordering, preparing, and distributing CSF/NHS supplies, including candy and other fundraising materials.

The ideal candidate will have patience, strong leadership skills, good communication skills, including communicating with adults, school administrators, and various community business officials; and will be responsible, reliable, and well organized.

Vice-President:

Attend all officer meetings, every Monday at lunch.

Attend all general CSF/NHS member meetings, held periodically throughout the year.

Assist the President in conducting the general membership meetings.

Help coordinate all service, social, and fundraising activities with the other officers, active club members, as well as with Mrs. Cocksedge. These events include:

Be able to fill in for the President as needed.

Specific Duties Include:

  1. Maintain Membership Files, including rosters and class locations, etc.
  2. Update membership lists weekly and distribute to the Class Rep Officers.
  3. Maintain records of active and inactive members and work with Advertising Rep and Class Reps to increase active membership.
  4. Take attendance at membership meetings and maintain accurate attendance records.
  5. Assist Treasurer in maintaining records of monies paid/owed by members.

Advertising Representative:

Attend all officer meetings, every Monday at lunch.

Attend all general CSF/NHS member meetings, held periodically throughout the year.

Help coordinate all service, social, and fundraising activities with the other officers, active club members, as well as with Mrs. Cocksedge. These events include:

Assist other officers and Mrs. Cocksedge in ordering, preparing, and distributing CSF/NHS supplies, including candy and other fundraising materials.

Specific Duties Include:

  1. Be the main coordinator for the Membership Drives.
  2. Create and distribute flyers for meetings, activities, and fundraising dates.
  3. Fill out and distribute membership cards at meetings.
  4. Create and distribute notices and announcements to individual members.
  5. Assist Secretary with Membership File Maintenance

Treasurer:

Attend all officer meetings, every Monday at lunch.

Attend all general CSF/NHS member meetings, held periodically throughout the year.

Assist other officers and Mrs. Cocksedge in ordering, preparing, and distributing CSF/NHS supplies, including candy and other fundraising materials.

Specific Duties Include:

  1. Keep accurate records of CSF/NHS accounts.
  2. Be a direct liaison between the club and Ms. Watson, Student Accounts/Student Store
  3. Obtain and fill out all necessary forms for financial transactions related to supplies, fundraising purchases, deposits, and scholarships.
  4. Keep receipts for both school and member transactions.
  5. Count and deposit all money.
  6. Maintain records of members who have paid and/or owe money for Dues and/or fundraising.
  7. Do any required shopping for fundraising materials.
