Prayer Requests

Mary Sue Tipton writes, “David was moved into a room on Saturday about 6:30. He did not have a very restful night, in fact he called me about 11:30pm and wanted me to come and take him home. He was very agitated and his blood pressure was over 200. Regardless, the neurologist came in about 1pm on Sunday and released him. We got home about 3:30pm. His blood pressure is still high, but the doctor thinks it will come down once he is home. David was so tired of being there that we think it was adversely affecting him. He now has 2 new meds to take, one for blood pressure and one is a blood thinner. He is supposed to take his blood pressure several times and chart it, then go to our family doctor in a week. Dr. Lipperd, our family doctor, will monitor him. David goes back to the neurologist in 4 weeks. Right now we don’t know what caused the high blood pressure or exactly what happened on Tuesday. We don’t know if it was a stroke that the meds stopped or some other brain abnormality. We do know that he has had a stroke sometime in the past. Both the CT and MRI confirmed this. We also know that David has never been diagnosed with high blood pressure and he goes for a check up every 3 months. Thanks for all your prayers! God answers prayers! God is good!”

Ron Dodson will have gall bladder surgery tomorrow. Please pray all goes well.

Teresa McFarland writes, “Please be lifting my sister, Linda Nichols up to our dear Father. She will be having an arteriogram on 11/2. The cardiologist has already determined she has a valve in her heart that will have to be replaced. This is hereditary. My Dad had the same problem. He passed away 12 years ago from a bleed in his brain due to a blood thinner he was taking because of the metal valve they put in. Please pray when they do the arteriogram that the valve is completely healed. John and I are praying this and ask you to pray with us. We know all things are possible to those who believe. We also know we have not because we ask not. So we ask you to pray believing with us that the valve in her heart is healed. Thank you prayer warriors for your fervent prayers to our loving Father.”

Cathy Troxler writes, “I just wanted to ask you to please update the prayer request about me. We were recently told that I may not need radiation. This would be a huge blessing. Of course we want to do whatever's needed to stay healthy in the long term, but please pray that we will make the right decision and that God will give us clarity and peace about the decision. A huge bonus to not having to do radiation is that I may be able to do the mastectomy and reconstruction as one surgery instead of having to break it into 2 separated by radiation. Thank you SO much. I cannot even begin to tell you how thankful we are for all the prayers, love, food and many other blessings that we are receiving!” Brad and Cathy were also sharing that a drunk driver crashed into their home. Praise God that all the Troxler’s were safe. Please pray all goes well with insurance and the clean-up.

As you know he has been going through chemo and he fractured a vertebra in his lower back several weeks ago and is now in the hospital. The neurosurgeon will see him and possibly perform some type of surgery depending on severity. Please pray that the Drs. perform the correct procedures and pain management for him and that they have wisdom & a steady hand. Pray for a full recovery of the back and cancer.”

They did find out that he had been suffering from seizures rather than having had a stroke and he is now on medication for that. Neither he nor Mother will be getting around very well as her leg has not completely healed since she broke it in December. So, taking care of Daddy will be quite challenging. Please continue to remember them in your prayers!”
