Assessment Task: Pastiche

“People never notice anything” - Holden Caulfield
A pastiche is an imitation of the style of an artist, or author. Your assignment is to think of a situation from your life that would allow you to create a story using Holden Caulfield’s voice. You must consider the language and word choice, as well as the content and the “structure” that Holden uses to construct an anecdote. (500 words)
After you have finished writing, you must write a reflection in which you explain the techniques that you have used in order to recreate Holden Caulfield’s voice. (200 words)
