Criteria for Alpha Alpha Album of Distinction Candidate ~ 2018
The following criteria has been established to create a consistent recognition for Alpha Alpha State members for inclusion in the Album of Distinction. Please consider the information below as you complete a chapter member's nomination form for the 2018 Album of Distinction Award:
Recognition must be for an honor or distinction received or service performedbeyondThe Delta Kappa Gamma Society International.
Recognition will be given on an annual basis during the State Convention. This year’s candidates shall have received their honors between March 1, 2017 and March 1, 2018.
The nominee must be a contributing/participating member in good standing with her chapter (Active or Reserve).
A completed nomination form will be filed with the Educational Excellence Committee by March 1, 2018. Haddie Weber,Professional Affairs Chair

All chapters are encourage to submit candidates for the 2018 Album of Distinction. Candidate for this recognition must be an active member of Delta Kappa Gamma and have received an honor and/or an award for service outside the Society. The honor and /or award must have occurred between March 1, 2017 and March 1, 2018. Applications many be found on the Alpha Alpha State website. Click on the Awards/Application tab at the top of the page to find the form, the evaluation criteria, and the scoring rubric. All candidates must tie their honor and/or award to one or more of the Seven Purposes of Delta Kappa Gamma. In preparing the application for
the award/or honor it is wise to have your application proof read.
Applications are due by March 1, 2018, in order to be recognized at the 2018 convention.
Nominations for candidates receiving awards after the stated deadline may be submitted for recognition during the following year’s convention. All applications for the
Album of Distinction, received in a timely manner, will be reviewed and evaluated by the Educational Excellence Committee to determine those applicants worthy of the recognition of this distinction of honor.
Included in the application form must be a description of the nominee’s distinction and
how this distinction has fulfilled one or more of the seven purposes of The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International. Please support your recommendation with specific examples.
All Album of Distinction awardees will be honored at the Friday Night Reception on June 9, 2018, at the State Convention. If either the award winner or chapter president is unable to attend a designee chosen by the chapter president may fill in for either the awardee or chapter president.
A wallet-size color photo (jpeg preferable) of the nominee must be included with the nomination form.Please do not send newspaper photographs.
Any member can file a nomination form on behalf of another member.
All awardees will be notified of their selection by May 1, 2018, in time to register for the Convention. Please complete the Nomination Form and send to:
