CASE # 12-4230 FRAUDOn Saturday, December 1, 2012, Deputy Dotson received a call from a resident of Newburg who stated that she had received a phone call from a male who stated he was her grandson and needed help. This call was an attempt to scam a resident out of money *Criminal’s do not take a holiday- this is a reminder to be cautious about money-making scams*
CASE # 12-4262 BURGLARYOn Tuesday, December 4, 2012, Deputy Sinclair received a call from an owner of a Big Bear Lake campsite who stated that her camping site had been broken into and a comforter set had been stolen. A Television and microwave oven were damaged. This occurred on Yukon Circle. Any witnesses are asked to contact Deputy Sinclair.
CASE # 12-4278 BREAKING AND ENTERINGOn Tuesday, December 4, 2012, Deputy Martin responded to a breaking and entering complaint on Birch Root Road, near Rowlesburg. Four truck tires were reported stolen. Any witnesses are asked to contact Deputy Martin.
CASE # 12-4296 ASSIST OTHER AGENCYOn Wednesday, December 5, 2012, Deputies from the Preston County Sheriff’s Office assisted the West Virginia State Police on an armed robbery complaint at a residence on Number 4 Road in Tunnelton. Prescription medications were reported stolen. This is a continuing investigation.
CASE # 12-4288 BURGLARYOn Wednesday, December 5, 2012, Deputy Sinclair responded to a residence on Veterans Memorial Highway, near the Reedsville bowling alley, in regards to a burglary complaint. The victim had several Christmas gifts stolen along with a .45 Colt single action army pistol.
CASE # 12-4319 STOLEN VEHICLEOn Saturday, December 8, 2012, Deputy Childers responded to a stolen vehicle complaint that occurred at the Masontown Circle-K. A black Kia Sorrento had been stolen from the lot by the gas pumps. Any witnesses are asked to contact Deputy Childers.
CASE # 12-4335 BREAKING AND ENTERINGOn Saturday, December 8, 2012, Deputies Bryan and McNair responded to a breaking and entering complaint at Pleasantdale Church, near Kingwood. This is a continuing investigation.
CASE # 12-4339 BREAKING AND ENTERINGOn Monday, December 10, 2012, Deputy Sinclair responded to the Kingwood BFS Carwash in regards to a breaking and entering complaint. The outside deadbolt had been dilled out and cut off. Any witnesses are asked to contact Deputy Sinclair.
CASE # 12-4344 LARCENYOn Monday, December 10, 2012, Deputies Dotson and Lewis responded to Reedsville Estates, in Reedsville, in regards to a larceny complaint. A lockbox had been stolen. This is a continuing investigation.
CASE # 12-4346 BURGLARYOn Monday, December 10, 2012, Deputy Lewis received a call from a resident of Kingwood who stated that prescription medication had been stolen from his apartment.
CASE # 12-4357 BURGLARYOn Tuesday, December 11, 2012, Deputy Sinclair received a complaint from a resident of Middle School Drive, in Tunnelton, in regards to a burglary complaint. The victim stated that money and prescription medication had been stolen from her home.
CASE # 12-4366 LARCENYOn Wednesday, December 12, 2012, Deputy Childers responded to the Kingwood Wal-Mart parking lot in regards to a larceny complaint. The victims car had a window busted out and a camera and a GPS unit had been stolen from within. Any witnesses are asked to contact Deputy Childers.
CASE # 12-4370 LARCENYOn Wednesday, December 12, 2012, Lt. Stiles responded to a business in Bruceton Mills in regards to a larceny complaint. Two Polaris 4-wheelers had been stolen from the business. This is a continuing investigation.
