Cricket betting organizer busted by Crime Branch during IPL Cricket Match.

One person arrested.

Laptop, Data Card, Mobile Phones, Mobile Charger, Ear Phone Leads, TV, pens and note books, etc. seized.

The Crime Branch in its continued crack down against betting syndicates operating during IPL Cricket matches have busted a betting syndicate which was operating during the IPL cricket match between Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore from a house at Uttam Nagar, Delhi. Organizer of betting syndicate has been arrested and One Laptop, One Data Card, 103 mobile phones, 100 mobile chargers, 100 Ear Phone Leads, One Colour TV, Pens, two notebooks and one phone connectivity box recovered.

Information was received by Inspector Jitender Singh of Special Team, Crime Branch, Prashant Vihar that one person having well organized set up of phone lines coming from abroad via Jaipur is running a betting racket all over Delhi and NCR by providing current betting rate on phone lines to 200-300 bookies of Delhi/northern India. This information was further developed. On 28.05.2011, while the final of IPL Cricket Match between Chennai Super King and Royal challengers Bangalore was on, specific information was received that the above set up is installed at Uttam Nagar Delhi. After observing all legal formalities, under the supervision of ACP M. C. Katoch a raiding party was constituted comprising of Inspector Jitender, SI Anuj Nautiyal, HC Shailender, HC Rohtas, HC Surender, HC Hari Kishan and HC Rishi and a raid was conducted at the above mentioned premises and the above said accused person was found announcing betting rates to bookies from mobile phones connected together and at the same time he was getting the betting rates from a live phone line from Jaipur. He was found providing lines to 200-220 bookies through 99 mobile hand sets by using conference facilities. He was found in possession of one Lap top, One Data Card,103 active mobile phones,100 mobile charger,100 ear phone leads, One Colour TV, pens, 2 note books, eight electricity extension boards and one phone connectivity box. A case under the appropriate sections of the law was registered.

MODUS OPERENDI

On interrogation the accused disclosed that he used to be bookie but after a huge loss about 2-3 years back he came in contact with a contact of Jaipur who provided betting lines to bookies and in the same manner the accused also installed the setup and started providing betting rates to bookies on uninterrupted line. He keeps changing his location of operation to avoid his detection. He further disclosed that he charges Rs.3000/- to 3500/- for each line and checks betting rates on net through his lap top computer on betfair.com.

Interstate gang of drug traffickers busted.

4 persons arrested.

One car and one TSR Goods carrier seized.

205 Kgs. Ganja recovered.

A team of officers of Crime Branch led by Inspr. Arvind Kumar and consisting of SI Anuj Nautiyal, ASI Jai Singh, HC Rajbir Singh, HC Priyavart, HC Rajkumar and HC Lalit and Ct. Sandeep, Ct.Sanjay Gulariya, Ct.Suraj, Ct.Rajesh and Ct.Pradeep under the supervision of ACP M.C.Katoch and overall supervision of Addl.DCP P.S. Kushwah have busted an Interstate drug trafficking racket. 4 drug traffickers have been arrested. 205 Kgs. Ganja have been seized. One Indigo car and one Vikram TSR Goods Carrier used for transporting Ganja have been seized.

Information was received by Ct. Sandeep that an Interstate drug trafficking gang is based in Delhi. This information was further developed and on 27/05/2011, one TSR was intercepted near Lal Bagh, Azadpur Delhi. One person Pramod Kumar Singh (aged 28 years) s/o Lakhan Singh r/o Nabi Karim, Delhi was apprehended. The TSR when checked was found carrying ganja. The total ganja recovered was 80 Kgs. A case under the appropriate sections of the NDPS Act was registered.

Pramod Kumar Singh was subjected to intensive interrogation. He disclosed that he had procured the ganja from Piyush and Vakil Singh r/o Pahar Ganj, Delhi.

Vakil Singh (aged 36 years) s/o Badri Singh r/o Motia Khan Delhi was arrested on 30/05/11. During interrogation he disclosed that a consignment of ganja would be coming from Cuttack (Orissa) by Utkal Express to Nizamuddin Railway Station. Accordingly, two persons i) Shokeen Khan @ Sonu (aged 24 years) s/o Rehmat Khan r/o Nuh, Haryana and ii) Mohd. Shakir @ Sunil (aged 30 years) s/o Mohd. Idris r/o Bharat Colony, Faridabad were apprehended from outside Nizamuddin Railway Station in a TATA Indigo Car with 5 cartons/parcels. The parcels when checked were found to contain 125 kg. ganja. Both Shokeen Khan @ Sonu and Mohd. Shakir @ Sunil have been arrested.

Further investigation is in progress.

With the arrest of accused Ashok s/o Sh. Ram Chander r/o H. No. 799, Pana Udhyamn Narela, Delhi, Rakesh s/o Sh. Santosh r/o H.No. 796, Pana Udhyamn Narela, Delhi, Yogesh s/o Sh. Rajkumar r/o H. No. 749, Pana Udhyan Narela and Ankit s/o Sh. Jagbir r/o Gali No. 7, Rajeev Colony, Narela, Delhi Narela police have recovered Rs. 1400/-, Weight measures and Motor Cycle No. DL- 8SM-9155 used in crime and a case FIR No.243/11 dated 30/05/2011 u/s 356/379 IPC P.S. Narela, Delhi has been registered in this regard.

TEAM

A team consisting of ASI Dharampal, HC Ram Phal No. 484/OD, Const. Dharambir No. 2165/OD and Constable Ramesh No. 1258/OD under the leadership of Sh. Satish Kumar, SHO/ Narela under close supervision of Sh. Rajesh Kaushik, ACP/ Alipur investigated the matter and arrested all the four accused persons and recovered snatched case property within two hours of the incident.

INCIDENT

On receipt of information of snatching incident at about 1.15 AM at Singhu Border Road a team consisting of above mentioned police officials rushed to the spot and found there the complainant namely Sh. Mukhtiyar Ahmed s/o Shahbuddin r/o H. No. 29, Sector-A/6, Pocket-5, Narela, Delhi who produced two accused persons namely Ashok s/o Sh. Ram Chander r/o H. No. 799, Pana Udhyamn Narela, Delhi and Yogesh s/o Sh. Rajkumar r/o H. No. 749, Pana Udhyan Narela, Delhi and got his statement recorded stating therein that while coming from Azadpur, Delhi to Narela when he reached Singhu Border Road in front of Aggarwal Sweet four persons on M/C No. DL-8SM-9155 came to him and three of them snatched his cloth bag containing Rs.1400/- and some weight measures. He then raised alarm and succeeded over powering the above said Ashok & Yogesh with the help of passers by. The I.O. got the case registered on the statement of the complainant and made a search for the remaining accused persons on the basis of information revealed during interrogation two apprehended accused persons. The team succeeded in arresting the remaining accused persons namely Rakesh s/o Sh. Santosh r/o H.No. 796, Pana Udhyamn Narela, Delhi and Ankit s/o Sh. Jagbir r/o Gali No. 7, Rajeev Colony, Narela, Delhi and recovering the snatched property as well as the motorcycle used in crime. A case FIR No.243/11 dated 30/05/2011 u/s 356/379 IPC P.S. Narela, Delhi has been registered in this regard and all the four persons have been arrested.

INVESTIGATION

During investigation it has been revealed that the accused persons wanted to earn easy money to meet their unjustified requirements. One of the accused person namely Ankit s/o Sh. Jagbir has also indulged himself in snatching case earlier also.

Ashok s/o Sh. Ram Chander r/o H. No. 799, Pana Udhyamn Narela, Delhi aged 20 yrs belongs to the middle class family. He has passed 9th standard. He indulged himself in the crime to earn easy money due to his limited income.

PROFILE OF ACCUSED Rakesh

Rakesh s/o Sh. Santosh r/o H.No. 796, Pana Udhyamn Narela, Delhi aged 35 yrs belongs to the middle class family and is the elder of the two brothers. He is driver by profession and he committed the crime due to temptation of easy money.

PROFILE OF ACCUSED YOGESH:-

Yogesh s/o Sh. Rajkumar r/o H. No. 749, Pana Udhyan Narela, age 27 yrs belongs to the middle class family. He committed the crime as he fell in bad company of his above mentioned associates.

PROFILE OF ACCUSED ANKIT:- Ankit s/o Sh. Jagbir r/o Gali No. 7, Rajeev Colony, Narela, Delhi Narela aged 19 Yrs belongs to middle class family. He is not happy with the limited facilities given to him by his parents, so he involved himself in crime. He is found to be involved previously in case FIR No. 87/11 dated 28.02.2011 U/sec. 356/379/411 IPC PS – Narela, Delhi , in which he was arrested on 28.02.2011 and released from jail on 03.05.2011. Now he has committed the same crime again.

Auto Lifter arrested by Outer District Police

With the arrest of one Amit @ Mittu S/o Jitender Singh R/o H No. 269, Pana Dulan Vill. Bawana , Delhi -39 ,aged 21 years and Lalit S/o Samay Singh R/o H. No. 671 Pana Begwan, Vill.Bawana, Delhi -39, aged 24 years the staff of P.S. Bawana has solved 4 cases of Motor Vehicle Theft. Lalit S/o Samay is a BC of P.S. Bawana.

TEAM :

A team consisting of HC Joginder No. 414/OD alongwith ct. Nishan No.658/OD , ct. Vinod No. 1590/OD and ct. Angrez No. 1380/OD under the overall supervision of Inspr. Raj Singh, SHO/PS Bawana apprehended all the accused persons and recovered 3 stolen motor cycles.

Brief facts & investigation :-

On 27-5-11 at about 8.45 P.M. Beat Staff of Division-Bawana HC Joginder No. 414/OD alongwith Ct. Nishan No.658/OD , Ct. Vinod No. 1590/OD and Ct. Angrez No. 1380/OD were doing regular vehicle checking opposite Aditi College when they intercepted two M/cycle borne auto lifters namely Amit @ Mittu S/o Jitender Singh R/o H No. 269, Pana Dulan Vill. Bawana , Delhi -39 and Lalit S/o Samay Singh R/o H. No. 671 Pana Begwan, Vill.Bawana , Delhi -39 on M/cycle no. UP 81M 6053. The M/cycle was found stolen from the area of P.S. Roop Nagar (North Distt.).The M/cycle was seized u/s 102 Cr.P.C. and the accused persons were arrested u/s 41.(1) Cr. P.C. They were put to sustained interrogation during which they made a disclosure of their involvement of 3 more cases of M/cycle thefts from the areas of different Ploce Stations. Two M/cycle were also recovered at their instances. One M/cycle stolen by them was found deposited at P.S. Shahbad Dairy.

TWO NOTORIOUS SNATCHER CUM AUTOLIFTER ARRRESTED: TWO MOTOR CYCLE RECOVERED: 04 CASES WORKED OUT

INCIDENT/BRIEF FACTS:

With the arrest ofManoj S/o Nithal Ram R/o C-916, Mangol Puri, Delhi, (23 years), and 2. Om Prakash @ Omi S/o Gokul Singh r/o C-209, Jawala Puri,JJ Camp No. 4, Delhi (age-35 yrs.) Outer District, Special Staff has worked out four cases of snatching, Theft & Arms Act and recovered One stolen Motor Cycle bearing no. DL8SAK-6633 make Pulsar bearing fake Number plate DL8SAK-1749 and two golden chains. Apart from it one pulsar motor cycle bearing No. DL4SBH-6672 which was being used by accused Manoj and his associates in commission of other offences was recovered.

TEAM/ INVESTIGATION:

Due to sudden rise in incidents of snatchings/Auto lifting in the area of Outer Distt., Delhi during last one month, a special team comprising of Police officers of Special Staff/OD including Insp. Puran Pant, HC Rishi Ram No. 3207/OD HC Surender No. 403/OD, HC Ashok No. 3208/OD, HC Devender No. 3204/OD, Ct. Hari Chand No. 831/OD, Ct. Harjinder No.1756/OD, Ct. Praveen No. 1138/OD & Ct. Rakesh No. 1687/OD was constituted for identification and apprehension of culprits under the close supervision of Shri Ved Prakash, ACP/Ops/OD. The team worked hard and after working on recently released hardcore snatchers & Auto lifters, identified certain persons who have reunited after being released on bail indulged in commission of snatching and MV Theft. The team members kept on chasing movements of identified snatchers & Auto lifters.

On 30.05.2011 at about 06.15 PM HC Devender received a specific information regarding gathering of snatcher behind Jaipur Golden Hospital Sec-3, Rohini, Delhi. The team members immediately swung into action and reached at service road near jhuggies beside Jaipur Golden Hospital and started vehicle checking at about 07.30 PM two bike borne youth coming from Outer Ring Road and were about to enter service road. As soon as they reached near barricade the rider of motor cycle tried to turn back but the raiding party caught hold of the duo. On frisking, one country made pistol was recovered from the possession of Manoj above mentioned and on enquiry the bike they were riding upon was also found to be stolen. Both were arrested vide FIR No. 126/11, u/s 25/54/59 A Act & 411 IPC, PS South Rohini, Delhi and investigation was taken up.

INTERROGATION:

On interrogation, accused Manoj above mentioned disclosed that he had recently released on bail just about two months back. After being released from jail he again re-united with his old associates to commit snatching & MV Theft. On his release from jail Manoj and his associate Om Prakash @ Omi committed snatching of 02 gold chains from the area of K.N. Katju Marg, Delhi. They had also stolen a Pulsar motorcycle no. DL8S-AK-6633 from the area of PS Mangol Puri, Delhi. Today also both of them had started out to commit snatching in Rohini area.

  1. Manoj S/o Nithal Ram R/o C-916, Mangol Puri, Delhi, (23 years).He is previously involved in 01case. He has studied up to 10th standard. Having four brothers. He is un-married. He lived at his native village and came to stay with his paternal uncle at N Block, Mangol Puri.
  2. Om Prakash @ Omi S/o Gokul Singh r/o C-209, Jawala Puri,JJ Camp No. 4, Delhi (age-35 yrs.). He has studied up to 7th standard only. His father is a TSR driver. He use to purchase stolen Rickshaw, Cycle and Rehari from thieves. He is married.
