Step 1 - Copy the Guideline files for Import into Vision
Open the File vision_apollo_install.exe
You are presented with a message about the installation process
- Click OK to continue
The WinZip self-extractor window is displayed. This has been configured to copy the files required for the import to the O:\download\guidelines\apollo directory
- Click Unzip to copy the files
A message similar to the following is displayed
- Click OK to confirm file copy
You are returned to the WinZip self-extractor window
- Click Close to complete the file copy
Step 2 - Importing a Guideline within Vision
The Guidelines have been created to enter data using the criteria provided by Apollo for Phase 3 dated February 2007. The Guidelines will:
Display previous entries recorded for the patient
Allow for entering of new or updated entries
OR
Produce a report with the latest entries recorded
- From the Vision Main Menu select the link for Consultation Manager
- If asked for Consultation Setup click OK
- From within the Consultation Manager Select Guidelines | Select Guideline
Step 2a - Remove existing Guidelines
NOTE:This step only needs to be completed if you have installed previous versions of the guidelines.
Before installing the guidelines it is important that any previous versions have been deleted. Failing to remove the existing versions will result in duplicates displaying in the picking list. The new version has Phase 3 displayed in the title e.g. Apollo Asthma Guideline (Phase 3).
- Within the Mnemonic field type apand press Return
- Highlight the first guideline to delete by clicking on it once to select and click Delete
- Confirm Deletion by clicking Delete
You are returned to the Select Guideline by Mnemonic window
Repeat the process by typing apinthe Mnemonic fieldand pressing Returnto remove any other previously installed guidelines
Step 2a – Import the new Phase 3 Guidelines
- From within the Select Guideline window click Import
- From within the Select File window navigate to the O:\download\guidelines\apollo directory
- Select the file APASTHV3.txt within this directory and click Open
A text file is displayed with the guideline information
- Click Import to import the guideline
- You are prompted that a bitmap is included with the guideline. Click OK
- Select a directory to store the image. (Normally Vision\Guidelines) and click Save
A message is displayed whilst the guideline is loading
Once loaded the guideline will display on screen
- Click on the icon to close the guideline
Repeat the process for the other guidelines to be imported:
APASTHREV3: Apollo Asthma Guideline Report(Phase 3)
APCOPDV3: Apollo COPD Guideline(Phase 3)
APCOPDREV3: Apollo COPD Guideline Report(Phase 3)
Step 3 - Running the Guideline
The guideline can be run when a patient is displayed
- From the Vision Main Menu select the link for Consultation Manager
- From within the Consultation Manager select Consultation | Select a Patient (or press F3)
- Type a patient surname to search for and click OK
The patient Record screen will be displayed
- From the Patient record Select Guidelines | Select Guideline
- Within the Memoric field type apand press Return
- Select the Guideline APASTHV3: Apollo Asthma Guideline(Phase 3)and click View
Each of the sections are highlighted in Dark Blue and the Sub-Sections in Light Blue.
Previous Entries are displayed along with buttons to allow for the recording of new or updated information.
When any of the buttons are selected the data entry window is displayed
- Complete these as required
- Once complete click on the icon to close the guideline
The patient record will be updated with the selected information
- Select Consultation | Deselect Patient to close the consultation
Step 4 - Running the Guideline Report (If Required)
A guideline report uses the same information that has been used within the guideline but is configured to print the previous entries found for reference or other use.
The guideline can be run when a patient is displayed
- From the Vision Main Menu select the link for Consultation Manager
- From within the Consultation Manager select Consultation | Select a Patient (or press F3)
- Type a patient surname to search for and click OK
The patient Record screen will be displayed
- From the Patient record Select Guidelines | Select Guideline
- Within the Memoric field type apand press Return
- Select the Guideline APASTHREV3: Apollo Asthma Report(Phase 3) and click Print
The report will print to the default printer
- Click Cancel to close the guideline window
- Once complete click on the icon to close the guideline
The patient record will be updated with the selected information
- Select Consultation | Deselect Patient to close the consultation
