Children and Family Ministry

Brendan Cooney
Director of Children and Family Ministry
Children’s Education:

Sunday School is offered at our 10:30 am service for children in preschool through 5th grade. Nursery care is provided at both our 9:00 am and 10:30 service and there is a quiet room for families convenience loca
ted adjacent to our Sanctuary where parents can enjoy the worship service while caring for their infant.
We are using Deep Blue kids
curriculum this fall. This is a new exciting curriculum that includes adventures, exciting stories, science experiments, art, animated video
storytelling and active games. Learning how to read and use the bible is a center point of our teaching and all our welcome in Sunday school.

Each week families will e given a weekly family devotion designed to reinforce the message your children learn in their Sunday school class. Parents can also download the Deep Blue media app that reinforces the lesson children learned through games and videos. We are in partnership in laying a spiritual foundation for your children.

Acolytes:

Acolytes help prepare us for worship by light the alter candles.

Communion Servers:

Our 4th and 5th-grade students help serve communion on the first Sunday of each month.

Music Ministry:

Our children’s choir practice after the second service from 11:30 – 12:00 and sing during our worship service throughout the year.

Family Events: Just completed our Ad-Ventures

SMALL GROUPS

There are several small groups that meet regularly here in the life of Faith Church. We believe that in a church this size, a small group is where you will be most likely to develop the close fellowship and care with a smaller group of people that we all desire. Small groups may pray together, study together, serve together. Certainly you will laugh and cry and share meals from time to time. These small groups are vital to the life of this congregation!

These small groups consist of 3-12 people who meet regularly for one and a half hours for the purpose of bible study, mutual care, encouragement and prayer.

Faith 40+ Classic Singles’ Group

Coordinator Sue Lawrence

An active group of adults 40+ who meet after church for fellowship at the local Starbucks at Pine Lake for coffee and offer a strong support group. Lots of them don’t have family in the area so they become each others extended family.

We spend holidays together – one members hosts, everyone brings food and we always have a great time.We meet for dinner at local restaurants, go to movies together, celebrate birthdays and always help when times get tough.
