Presidential Facebook Project

The purpose of the project is to create a Facebook page for a U.S. President. You will have a week to complete the research and construction of the page. Use this sheet to complete your research before you begin constructing the page and finding pictures. This project is due______.

This project will be HANDWRITTEN, but your pictures can be printed.

1. Name of president at the top of the page

  • 1 profile picture of your historical figure

2. Information corner/Basic information

  • Presidential Number
  • College Attended-Pick one.
  • Political Party
  • Religion
  • Hometown-Hometown or place of birth.
  • Married to

3. Friends corner:

  • 4 Pictures of people that are/would be friends with your figure (wife, Vice President, Cabinet Members (Attorney General or Sectary of State), famous friend, or a grown child). These people must be from this era.

4. The Wall:

  • Write 5 significant facts on The Wall. These facts need to be actual events and highlight important moments from his presidency as in famous laws or acts, attacks or wars, treaties, appointments, problems, changes in the economy, accomplishments… His election or reelection does not count as an event. Try to find one event for each year he was president. Each comment must be about a separate event and include the date. The comment can be from your figure, but replies can come from someone else. Example: Herbert Hover: “The Stock Market just crashed!” October 24, 1924. Lou Henry Hoover replies, “Don’t worry honey, the Stock Market will improve, and there will be no Great Depression”
