Craig McEnany serves as the Executive Director for the National Postsecondary Agricultural Student Organization (NPASO) a position that he has held since July of 2012. In this role, he represents the National PAS on the National Council for Agricultural Education board (NCAE) and the National Coordinating Council for Career & Technical Student Organizations (NCC-CTSO).

Craig McEnany grew up on a diversified livestock and crop farm near Shell Rock, IA in the northeast part of Iowa. Upon graduation from high school, Craig served as the grain elevator supervisor for a multi-branch cooperative with responsibility for all grain entering and leaving the facility via truck and/or rail. He spent 2 ½ years in the business prior and after beginning his studies at Iowa State University in agricultural education. He represented the Iowa State University Agricultural Education department as a student representative at a national meeting sponsored by the Carnation Company through the National FFA Foundation exploring the establishment of postsecondary agricultural leadership organizations above the high school level. The recommendations of this conference lead to the formation of what is now known as the National PAS Organization.

Upon completion of his Bachelor’s Degree in 1979, Craig was a high school agricultural educator for nine years. In 1988, he became an instructor in the Agribusiness program at Des Moines Area Community College in Ankeny, IA where he has taught soils, soil fertility, agricultural economics, sales, marketing and a variety of courses as required. He serves as the Chairperson of the Agribusiness program with oversight for program budgets, classroom instruction and the college farm.

Highlights of his professional career include servicing on the NPASO board as a faculty advisor, Vice Chair of the National Council for Ag Ed as the NPASO faculty representative, Region III Vice President for the National Association of Agricultural Educators and numerous state agricultural education leadership positions.

Craig and his wife Lisa live in near Nevada, Iowa in central Iowa. They have seven children, Melissa, Michael, Michelle, Maria, Megan, Morgan and Mary who have been active members in 4-H and FFA.

The value of leadership and agriculture plays a strong role in the activities and successes of the family.
