Worklife Announces Dates for New Zealand
Career Coach Certification Program
November, 2009 /

Worklife International Pty Limited (“Worklife”) today confirmed the presentation of its Career Coach Certification Program (CCCP), in Auckland New Zealand on 16 and 17 February, 2010.

In making the announcement, Worklife’s MD Peter Tobin said: “We enjoyed great success with our presentation of this workshop in October 2009, and felt that New Zealand should be part of our 2010 calendar...

“Our 2009 dates conflicted with the schedules of many interested parties and we hope that mid February will provide coaches with a great Christmas break, time to get back to work in 2010, and sufficient time to plan attendance at the workshop.”

Worklife’s CCCP workshop includes delivery of 10 CCCP modules through six stages of learning:

  1. Pre-workshop reading;
  2. Workshop Day 1;
  3. Overnight homework between training days;
  4. Workshop Day 2;
  5. Post-workshop readings; and
  6. An assessment task.

The focus during the two-day face-to-face learning is facilitation and debriefing Worklife’s unique Card Sort Discovery Tools along with exploration of career research methodologies, strategies to implement the career plan, and maintaining contact with clients.

Outcomes of the CCCP workshop include:

  • Understanding the Career Development Process;
  • Defining the role of the career coach;
  • Preparing the coaching environment;
  • Establishing coaching expectations;
  • Guiding clients/employees through the process;
  • Linking preferences to current work reality;
  • Planning career moves; and
  • Planning implementation techniques.

Here are some comments from New Zealand workshop participants in 2009:

Exceeded my expectations…

Facilitation – excellent…

In addition to six stages of learning (outlined), workshop participants also access:

  • A 200+ page resource folder;
  • CD of printable career coaching resources;
  • Feedback on submitted assessment task;
  • Ongoing email support;
  • Post-workshop phone support;
  • Set of six Card Sort Discovery Tool activities;
  • Unlimited use of Worklife’s IP when coaching 1:1; and
  • Worklife’s career coaching experts.

Tobin concluded:

“We are extremely proud of the CCCP workshop. We know that we have a workshop to meet the needs of new and existing career coaches in New Zealand and we are looking forward to a fantastic workshop in February.”
