1. a)Make a visit to any firm in your location and study how organizational responsibilities for a new product development is assigned both at the corporate level and at the operational level. Name the firm surveyed and enumerate the findings.

b) Bring out the major differences between screening and economic analysis of new product ideas. When and why they assume significance in the whole process of new product development.

2. a) Discuss pretest marketing and test marketing with suitable examples. What are the various steps you will undertake to test market water filter designed and targeted for institutions.

b) You are assigned the task of introducing a herbal tooth paste both in the urban and rural markets. Suggest and chalk out a detailed plan of the proposed launch in the market place.
