Dates Day 1 Wed 8th February Futsal Refereeing Practical & Theory

Day 2 Wed 22nd February Mentored games. To be mutually agreed.

Course Timings 9am – 5.00pm each day.

Who is it for?

This course is for individuals wishing to understand more about refereeing Futsal and actively refereeing within the various opportunities with the EFL and local competitions.

Course content

·  Develop an appreciation and understanding of the application ofthe of Futsal.

·  Demonstrate an understanding of the Futsal Laws of the Game.

·  Develop a better understanding of Futsal as a stand-alone game in its own right and the significant variances from conventional five-a-side.

·  Show empathy towards the development of Futsal by supporting a educator role with young players.

·  Ability to officiate grassroots futsal games.

Course assessment

Following Day 1 content candidates will be supported on games alongside a senior futsal referee offering practical advice on performance. Candidates will also be required to pass an Laws of the Game assessment.

Course aims and objectives

The aim of this course is to help candidates understand the Laws of the Game for Futsal and allow candidates to officiate on grassroots competitions. Candidates will have a clear understanding of the role of a Futsal referee and the pathway that is available, how to progress and the support mechanisms that are in place to assist futsal referees.
