DOCTOR’S NOTES:

If a student is injured enough that he/she cannot participate in PE, a note from a doctor is required. We ask that all notes from the doctor include activities that the student “can do.” For example, if a student has a sprained ankle, he/she can still walk, stretch, do sit-ups and push-ups, etc. Or, if the student has injured their left hand and they are right handed, they can still do all activities except for push-ups. By including what the students can do, activities can be modified so that the student can still earn participation points in PE. If the note says “No PE,” then the student cannot participate at all, and the points missed will need to be made up at a later date.
