Committee Reports:
Auction – The auction is coming in February, so buy your tickets! We spend what we earn, so we need this auction to be successful. There is something for everyone at every price point. Fund a Need is our Library!!
Science Fair – Coming up in March. Paperwork will be coming home in February. Mary Heidt is still helping. Randall Dubois is helping as well, but is finding himself busier than expected. We need science fair volunteers.
WatchDogs – We need someone to run the Watch Dogs program. Watchdogs are dads, but a woman could volunteer to run this program.
School Play – Missoula Children's Theater will be back in March. There will be an audition process. Not every student will be awarded a part.
Principal's Message:
Playground parts are finally on their way. When they arrive, repairs will begin right away.
Especially after the Newtown tragedy, we are really looking at our safety procedures. Reminder, don’t dart into the school without signing in and getting a visitor's badge.
Cottage Lake 4th graders have been randomly selected for NAEP tests (National Assessment of Educational Progress). Cottage Lake has also been randomly selected for the Smarter Balance test . 3rd graders will take an English language test and 4th graders will be tested on math. MSP will be the whole month of May.
5th graders will be going to Camp Cedar Springs. We need volunteers badly to make this happen.
