Must complete one (1) of the following projects:

  1. Design an employee poster, for the break room in your salon, Professional Ethics. It must be completed on the computer with color and easy to read font.
  2. Design a training booklet, to be used in your salon, concerning personality development and attitude for the whole person.It must have at least 5 scenarios, and questions about each of the scenarios for the “employee” to answer. An answer key must be provided to the teacher with the training booklet. It must be typed.
  3. Design and record a training video on either ethics or personality development and attitude. The recording must beon a video tape, camcorder, or phone (something that can be shown on a computer). It must be at least 10 – 15 minutes in length. It can be done alone or in a group,(of no more than 4) with an explanation of every member's contributions. A copy of the story board must be turned in.

  1. Write a research paper on Professional Ethics, Human Relations and Personality Development and Attitude. Include why these three (3) aspects of working are so extremely vital to the cosmetology field, how they can make or break a designer, and why as a student you must start practicing these things now, today. The paper must be no less than three (3) pages in length, double

spaced, and typed or printed (not cursive) neatly. At least three (3)

resources must be utilized and a list if those resources attached,using one (1)

of the following websites for MLA formatting procedures:

1. Watch a sitcom on television, and then write about how the actions of the characters demonstrated either respectful or disrespectful behavior.

2. How do you feel when someone judges you without knowing you or giving you a chance? How do you feel when someone you disagree with calls you a name? How do you feel when someone bumps into you in the hall and doesn't apologize?

3. Describe three things that you can do to be a more respectful person. How would that affect your relationships with others? How does it benefit you to be a respectful person?

4. Conduct a survey in your school or community, asking questions like these. Do you think people are respectful enough? What are some disrespectful acts that really annoy you? What are some respectful acts that you especially appreciate? Compile these results in a report.
