NOTE: This calendar is subject to change due to interactions and decisions by Ohio Department of Higher Education (ODHE) staff or by agencies, organizations, and departments outside of the purview of ODHE. In the case of a change, Perkins institutions will be notified of the modification.
August 2016
· Wednesday, August 24 – Perkins New Coordinators Meeting.
September 2016
· Thursday, September 1 – Last day to submit Ohio Technical Center (OTC) Enrollment information. Institutions should also submit all relevant credential and placement data into the Higher Education Information (HEI) system for Perkins Report.
· Wednesday, September 14 – Perkins Fall Informational Meeting.
· Friday, September 30 – Last day for institutions to submit FY 2016 Final Expenditure Report (FER) to ODE.
October 2016
· Monday, October 3 – College and University HEI liaisons should have submitted FY16 student enrollment data and disadvantaged student information into HEI, which is used for Perkins Report.
· Monday, October 3 – Electronic Monitoring Process begins for OTC and College cohort groups for FY 2015 activities.
o Institutions begin gathering compliance information (October 3 – November 3).
· Wednesday, October 5 thru Friday, October 7 - National Career Pathways Network (NCPN) - 2016 Annual Conference, JW Marriott, Indianapolis, Indiana.
· Monday, October 31 – Last day for OTCs to enter any additional FY2016 student credential and placement data into HEI for Perkins Report (enrollment information should have been submitted).
November 2016
· Thursday, November 3 – Institutions meet in Columbus for Electronic Monitoring Process overview and assistance on uploading gathered information into the System.
· Wednesday, November 30-Saturday, December 3 - Association for Career & Technical Education (ACTE) CareerTech VISION 2016 Conference, Las Vegas, NV
December 2016
· Thursday, December 1 – College and OTC Perkins reports are posted on the ODHE website.
· Thursday, December 1 – Performance Improvement Plan letters are emailed to institutions (if necessary).
· Friday, December 2 – Last day for institutions to upload compliance information into the Electronic Monitoring System.
· Monday, December 5 – Desk and Phone Audits Begin.
o Monitoring and summary reports are simultaneously distributed to institutions indicating compliance/non-compliance status based on audits.
· Friday, December 16 – Desk and Phone Audits End.
· Monitoring and summary reports distribution ends for compliance/non-compliance. All Corrective Action Plan Notifications have been distributed to institutions not in compliance.
January 2017
· Monday, January 2 – Last day for all institutions receiving a Performance Improvement Plan letter to submit a Plan to ODHE.
· Tuesday, January 17 – Technical Assistance consultations and site visits begin (ongoing for remainder of fiscal year).
· Friday, January 20 – Corrective Action Plans are due in to ODHE for review and approval (if necessary).
· Wednesday, January 25 – Conference Call with OTCs and Colleges to set and agree on FY2017 state Perkins Targets.
· Thursday, January 26 – Conference Call with OTCs and Colleges to set and agree on FY2017 state Perkins Targets.
February 2017
· Wednesday, February 1 – All Corrective Action Plans have been approved (if necessary).
· Wednesday, February 1 - Submit, if available, additional FY 2016 credential and placement data only.
April 2017
· Friday, April 14 – Perkins Spring Meeting
· Monday, April 24 thru Thursday, April 27 – NAPE, National Summit for Education Equity.
May 2017
· Monday, May 1 – Perkins performance local target negotiations letter and information is emailed to OTCs and Colleges.
· Monday, May 8 thru Thursday, May 11 – National Association for Career & Technical Education Information (NACTEI), Little Rock, Arkansas.
· Wednesday, May 31 – Last day for budget revisions to be submitted into the CCIP system.
· Date TBD - CCIP Review
June 2017
· Thursday, June 1 – Perkins OTC and College allocations for FY 2018 are posted in the CCIP system.
· Friday, June 2 – Last day to submit Perkins performance local target negotiation agreed upon targets.
· Friday, June 30 – Last day to submit CCIP completed and in the system.
