Cooper Center Cleanup

COOPER CENTER CLEANUP

There are no custodial services at Cooper Center for Environmental Learning; therefore it is the responsibility of those who use the facility to clean up before leaving. Please use this checklist to assist you in assigning and completing the cleaning chores.

HEDIONDILLA (KITCHEN CABIN)

____Clean out the refrigerator/freezer and remove your belongings from the cupboards.

____Clean all counter tops.

____Sweep the floor and mop up any sticky spills.

____Return all equipment to the proper shelves.

____Turn off stove burners and oven.

____Clean stove top and oven if used.

____PLEASE be careful not to take Cooper Center food or equipment as you pack up.

____Trash and recycled emptied

ACACIA (CLASSROOM CABIN)

____Sweep the carpet if the cabin was used.

____Rewind videos and replace in rack.

____Stack the chairs.

____Remove your belongings.

BIZNAGA

____Return activity boxes to the tables so they may be checked by staff.

____PLEASE be careful that Cooper Center materials aren't mistakenly packed up with your

materials.

RAMADA AND AMPHITHEATER

____Sweep the floor and steps of the ramada.

____Sweep the steps of the amphitheater.

____At both ramada and amphitheater, clean up sticky spills with water and brooms.

Only use the hose if there are sticky messes, and only sparingly, otherwise muddy

puddles form and mud is tracked all over the clean cement.

____Return tables and chairs, if used, to the storage shed.

____Clean the grill if used. Put ashes into the fire ring , NOT in the dumpster.

GROUNDS

____Pick up all paper and trash.

____Ashes go into the fire ring. Do not put any ashes or burned wood into the dumpster.

____Recyclables go into the white dumpster located in the parking area.

____Place all trash in the green dumpster located in parking area.

TOILETS

____Empty the trash cans bags into the dumpster if they are full.

____Sweep the floor.

____Flush toilets.

THE FOLLOWING RULES APPLY TO OVERNIGHT GROUPS

SLEEPING CABIN

____Remove all personal belongings.

____Sweep the floor thoroughly, including under the bed platform.

____Pick up litter around the cabins.

____Turn off all lights.

____Empty trash.

____Stack mattresses away from walls and emergency window.

TOILETS

____Clean the sinks with cleanser.

____Wipe the mirrors.

____Clean the toilet bowls with cleanser and brush.

____Empty trash into the appropriate dumpster.
