Invitation to sit on the joint committee
As part of the participatory process for the primary prevention of workplace violence that has been initiated in name of the enterprise, we are looking for volunteers who are interested in becoming actively involved in the joint committee responsible for implementing this process. This committee will be composed of:
· number management representatives;
· number employees;
· number union or employee representatives.
The joint committee’s activities will consist of:
1. Identifying the risk factors for violence in the workplace and determining the priority action targets;
2. Developing an action plan that identifies evaluation and monitoring mechanisms and presenting it to the establishment’s management;
3. Monitoring the implementation of the measures identified in the action plan and keeping all personnel informed of the efforts under way;
4. Plan the efforts to be made as part of this process with the members of any other pertinent committees;
5. Ensure the ongoing application of the proposed measures in the medium and long terms.
We are looking for individuals who:
ü Know the work environment;
ü Have good credibility among their co-workers and strong leadership skills;
ü Are consistently present on the work premises.
The employer will offer the following conditions to facilitate staff participation:
