Company will support the District with an online learning software program to support student achievement in English Language Arts in the Common Core State Standards (CCSS). This online learning software program, slated for September 1, 2017 to ­ August 30, 2018, will provide the necessary supports for students to prepare for the Rhode Island Comprehensive Assessment System (RICAS).

ThinkCERCA is a comprehensive Core ELA Curriculum for grades 9-12. This curriculum is based on disciplinary texts and discipline-specific close reading and academic writing. The theme-based text sets are differentiated for 10 levels of readiness.

  1. ThinkCerca will provide access to ThinkCERCA for up to 400 students at E-Cubed Academy for the 2017-2018 school year.
  2. Professional Development will include virtual training and on-site training for teachers and school administrators.
  3. The district agrees to pay the Company a fee not to exceed $11,200 for services rendered. This amount is inclusive of expenses for materials, supplies, transportation, lodging, and meals for all on-site and off-site planning and preparation. Company shall not be paid in advance.

Every contract should include explicit language requiring vendor accountability, i.e. required program evaluation or the submission of a final report summarizing progress against each itemized deliverable.

The Company must adhere to the following expectations for customer service by providing:

  1. Technical assistance to District and its schools when needed.
  2. Troubleshooting and resolution of issues with the Product and its functionality, preferably within a 24 hour period.
  3. informal training for District and school staff in support of the use of the product and
  4. Mid-year (January) and end of year (June)usage and achievement reports that include current and comparison data points for both educators and students.

Fee Schedule

The Company will provide digital access to ThinkCerca from September 1, 2017 to August 30, 2018 to E-Cubed Academy. The district agrees to pay Company a fee of $11,200.00 as compensation for services rendered.
