ContiTech Demonstrates Top Technological Achievements

Customer-specific development of fluid hoses and suspension concepts for the construction machine industry• Comprehensive product and service portfolio for a wide range of transport tasks • Intelligent solutions for engine and cab mounts from the MEGI® and SCHWINGMETALL® product range

Shanghai, September 2008. Three business units of ContiTech AG, Hanover, Germany, will be exhibiting at the bauma China 2008 in Shanghai from November 25 to 28.Innovative hydraulics as well as oil and fuel concepts from ContiTech Fluid Technology will be the focal point of the trade-fair appearance at booth 1523 in hall E1.The ContiTech Conveyor Belt Group will demonstrate its globally recognized belt conveyor expertise, as well as displaying impressive technological achievements and their implementation in high-strength conveyor belt designs for all conveying tasks.ContiTech Vibration Control will provide information on the latest engine and cab suspension elements for construction machines and vehicles.

ContiTech Fluid Technology provides complex hose line systems such as hydraulic hose lines for pressures up to 500 bar, fuel and oil hose lines and special suction hose line applications for use in construction machines.A high-pressure hydraulic coupling has been developed for pressures up to 500 bar which was introduced on the market under the name of DRACON 500.

Hoses with high-pressure plug connections enable fast and space-saving installation of the lines while providing customers with maximum safety at the same time. The high-pressure plug systems are suitable as variable components in the modular system for use in hydraulic systems (for steering, transmission control, clutch and chassis), for air conditioning and fuel systems or oil coolers, as well as other applications.

ContiTech has constructed an industrial hose line production facility in the factory of ContiTech Fluid Grand Ocean in Changchun (PRC) so that customers in the Asia region can also have access to the proven technology.Construction machine manufacturers and industrial suppliers such as Atlas Terex, Linde, Atlas Copco and others are supplied from this facility.“Our largest customers are already in the area and run successful businesses there,” explains Markus Murk, manager of the industrial hose line product market segment.

Global conveying that meets customer requirements – that's what the ContiTech Conveyor Belt Group stands for:ContiTech steel cable conveyor belts and textile conveyor belts enable maximum throughputs of goods under extremely difficult topographical and climatic conditions – in mining, in loading and unloading plants, and in other industries.Their robust design guarantees high tensile strength and excellent impact resistance. Steel cord conveyor belts that are wear-resistant, rot and corrosion-resistant, resistant to chemicals and thermally stable achieve a long service life with low maintenance requirements.Depending on the application, textile conveyor belts convey goods that contain oil and grease, hot goods (up to 200°C) or sharp-edged goods, even over inclines of up to 30 degrees.

The After Sales Service Team is active throughout the world and ready to respond around the clock. The team installs and services conveyor belts for all types of applications.

As the specialist for vibration control technology, ContiTech Vibration Control will provide information on rubber-to-metal bonded components and hydromounts from the MEGI® and SCHWINGMETALL® product range at the bauma China. The elements are used as engine and cab mounts in construction machines and construction vehicles where they dampen shocks and structure-borne noise, insulate machine vibrations, reduce accelerations and protect against noise, which reduces the stress placed on both materials and operators. The MEGI® and SCHWINGMETALL® product range has stood for top quality rubber-to-metal bonded components for over 50 years. It comprises more than 1,000 standard products and is continuously being optimized and expanded.
