AHC30110 Certificate III in Agriculture
(contexualised for the Poultry Egg Production Industry, AECL Program)
This is a nationally recognized qualification and training is delivered with Victorian and Commonwealth government funding for eligible individuals.
Overview
Those participants undertaking the Poultry Egg Production Industry contextualised AHC30110 Certificate III in Agriculture qualification come from one target group:
· The target Group is employed in the poultry / egg sector in a workplace where they are supervised in typically an enterprise production system environment and /or are report to an employer who allocates their tasks. This target group would have at least 6 months experience working in the Poultry egg sector. It would be an advantage if the applicant as completed the industry Egg Start induction program.
Target group 1:
o Have some understanding of a broad knowledge base incorporating some theoretical concepts
o Assist in planning approaches to technical requirements where required
o Apply theoretical concepts
o Implement information as a result of forecasting or planning by management
o Report to management on the achievement of specified outcomes
Job titles relevant to this qualification include Poultry / Egg Production Worker or Leading hand.
Pathways and Recognition
4 Up Skilling Pty Ltd has applied the following pre-requisites regarding this qualification:
· It is essential that participants complete the 4 Up Skilling Pty Ltd Pre Course Review (LLN) successfully (see form USLLN).
· Participants must have access to a workplace or simulated work environment where they can apply skills and knowledge associated with the agriculture sector.
· Participants must be a minimum of 16 years of age.
· Participants must have a minimum of 6 months industry experience (poultry egg production sector).
The successful completion of AHC20110 Certificate II in Agriculture and /or the completion of the industry Egg Start induction program would be an advantage. AHC30110 Certificate III in Agriculture applicants have the opportunity to apply for RPL and mutual recognition (see Recognition of Prior Learning).
Students who have completed this qualification may continue their studies in Certificate IV in Agriculture. Higher level training is also available, up to Diploma and Advanced Diploma level.
Delivery Structure
The duration of the AHC30110 Certificate III in Agriculture qualification (contextualised for the poultry egg production sector) is 8 months. A learner with higher learning needs may require longer to complete the qualification (up to 18 months). Training does not occur over the summer months to industry conditions.
The units of competence in this program are delivered in Victoria through four (4) face to face workshops that go for three (3) days each followed by individual farm visits for further training and assessment. The first workshop will be in Wallan, Victoria with the remainder of the workshop delivered at a central venue to all participants.

Costs
The cost of the Certificate III in Agriculture qualification is approximately $632.00 for eligible students ($0.80 per enrolled hour) and $1,383 for ineligible students ($1.75 per enrolled hour). Please contact 4 Up Skilling to discuss eligibility requirements. Concession rates apply at 20% of the funded Student Tuition Fee rate for eligible students with relevant concession cards including:
· Commonwealth Health care card
· Pensioner Concession card
· Veterans Gold card
Fee Schedule:
- Payment of up to $1500 is payable on enrolment or prior to commencement of training (depending on elective units chosen).
- Any remaining fees are payable in 3 months from commencement of the course.
Payment can be made by:
· Cash
· Cheque
· Direct Debit
Part Payment Plans may be arranged after consultation with the Training Manager. 4 Up Skilling do not accept prepaid fees in excess of $1500.
