ABILENE, Texas – The Texas Midwest Community Network will host the 22nd Annual Texas Midwest Conference, Oct. 28th, at the Abilene Civic Center. The theme for the conference is “Community: Building a Trail of Success.”

City and county officials, economic development professionals, chamber of commerce executives, board members, civic volunteers and student leaders attend the annual conference to learn more about the resources and services available to benefit communities in the Texas Midwest.

This year’s keynote speaker is Texas Agriculture Commissioner, Sid Miller. Commissioner Miller is serving his first term as the 12th Texas Commissioner of Agriculture. He is widely recognized as one of the state’s most dynamic and conservative leaders.

The conference will offer dedicated and focused tracks for City Officials, Chamber Representatives, Economic Development Professionals and Students presented by experts from throughout the state.
