The world-renown Women of Ireland will perform their Christmas show at the Jasper Arts Center on Saturday, December 12th at 7:30 p.m.

Produced in Ireland, Women of Ireland – Celtic Angels’ Christmas will enrapture audiences with the magic of Christmas in an awe-inspiring show which encompasses vocal and instrumental seasonal favorites alongside Irish, contemporary and original Christmas themes – all with a Celtic twist. This, together with stunning dance routines performed by the shows’ tantalizing world champion dancers, will create an unforgettable evening’s entertainment for those who get the chance to see this captivating holiday program.

This family show is a holiday celebration of Christmas in Ireland and features Christmas music from across the centuries presented in an inimitable fashion by some of Ireland’s finest female performers.

Lovers of Celtic music are in for a special treat when the Women of Ireland takes to the stage. The 20 member touring company is made of the best female performers within the Irish musical tradition performing alongside other world class musicians, singers and dancers. The Women of Ireland is also the only Irish and Celtic show in the world which incorporates an aerial artist. The daring and often awe-inspiring feats of the aerialist are woven to the beautiful strains of the shows Celtic music and provide a unique aspect within this genre.

This special Christmas show will demonstrate the well of talent that exists within Ireland’s traditions of music, song and dance. Special significance will be placed on depicting the pure qualities of Irish music in a contemporary setting while the performance will also include well known popular songs which will be given a stirring Celtic treatment.

Jasper Community Arts is a department of the City of Jasper. Additional support is provided by Friends of the Arts, Inc., the Indiana Arts Commission, the National Endowment for the Arts and the Vanderburgh County Community Foundation. It is also a Kennedy Center Partner in Education and provides arts education programming to local schools.
