Jelf and Ageas announce finalists in the 2017 Local Business Charity Awards

Jelf and Ageas, sponsors of the 2017 Local Business Charity Awards, have today announced this year’s finalists. The awards, founded by Jelf in 2014, recognise the generous support given specifically by Gloucestershire businesses to the county’s local charities.

The judges for the 2017 awards are:

Phil Barton, CEO Jelf and Bluefin, founder of the awards said,

‘Another year, another flood of heart-warming stories for my fellow judges and I to read, describing the selfless work done by companies and individuals across Gloucestershire to support our local charities. As ever the commitment, generosity and, at times, sheer physical hard graft we have read about, has been incredible and I offer my congratulations to them all, especially to our finalists we are naming today.’

The sponsors will invite finalists, charities and guests to a Punjabi BBQ Feast finals evening, hosted by local presenter Craig Wright, with live music and dancing at the National Star College, Ullenwood on Thursday 7 September 2017. Winners of the Jelf and Ageas awards will win £1,000 each, to be donated to the charity who nominated them. The winner of the individual award will win a weekend away to the value of £250.
