PRECISE FLUSH MILLING IN ONE PASSING

KINGSTON, MA —Colonial Saw is proud to announce that the Lamello Cantex Ergo, a dedicated flush milling machine for solid wood edges, offers a new feature: A new improved base plate which makes cutting around corners even easier than before. Solid wood edged corners are now trimmed perfectly flush in one pass with remarkable surface finish quality.

The reason for the high cutting quality of the Cantex Ergo is the special geometry of the cutting head, which induces a shearing cut and therefore guarantees a perfect smooth cutting result without chipping – even when using figured wood or cutting against the grain. The cutting head comes with three disposable carbdie blades that are indexable for quick set up. The use of three blades instead of the industry standard of two further enhances the finish quality of the Cantex’s cuts.

Further highlights of this lipping planer are its high precision height adjustment, which can be adjusted in steps of 0.035mm, and the zero position for fast, precise and repeatable settings. Due to this extremely fine stepping, the wood edge can be cut perfectly flush or even slightly below the surface if the machine is used in combination with the parallel guide.

The parallel guide is an invaluable option for flush milling of wood edges glued to finished surfaces such as melamine boards etc. The guide can be adjusted so exactly, that the blades only cut the wood edge without touching the finished surface. Apart from solid wood edges, the Cantex can also be used for flush milling in the surface, i.e. of protruding material such as Minispot-patches, glue residues etc.
