Bakken Oil Product and Service Show Supports Salvation Army Second Year in a Row

WILLISTON, N.D. –For the second year in a row, the Bakken Oil Product and Service Show hosted a tail-gate fundraiser for The Salvation Army. Event attendees and vendors enthusiastically participated in the cook-out that raised money to help local individuals and families in need. Three companies sponsored the tail-gate fundraiser this year: Purity Oilfield Services, KLE Construction Inc., and Western Area Water Supply Authority. Williston State College Teton hockey team helped serve the food.In addition to the tail-gate cook out, Western Area Water Supply auctioned off a New York Jets jersey and hat signed by Williston Native, Brent Qvale. Close to $3000 was raised for The Salvation Army during the two days of the Bakken Oil Product and Service show. The funds will help provide free programs and servicesto people such as food assistance, emergency lodging, after-school programming and much more.

“We were honored to be a part of such an amazing event,” said Captain Cappy Moore, Salvation Army administrator. “The tailgate cook-out was a huge success, and the funds raised will make a significant impact right here in Williston and Williams County. We are so thankful for the companies who participated in the fundraiser and for the people who attended and donated.”
