Constructive and Destructive Forces Project
Purpose: demonstrate your knowledge of Earth’s changing surface and the forces that change Earth through a creative project
Directions: This assignment has two parts. The first part is worth ten points and the second part is worth 20 points. Part one has a required activity. You will have multiple project options for part two. Select something that you will enjoy completing. Keep in mind that most landforms are created by a combination of forces but for this project only, classify a landform as constructive or destructive. Constructive landforms are formed mostly by constructive forces (mountain, delta, beach, etc.). Destructive landforms are formed mostly by destructive forces (valley, canyon, etc).
Part 1: Five Points

**For all landforms, you must pick different ones from the landforms we talked about in class (Niagara Falls, Hawaiian Islands, Grand Canyon, Waitomo Caves)
_____ Landform Poster. Select 4 landforms, two created by constructive forces and two created by destructive forces. Draw pictures of these, creating a poster and briefly describe how each are formed. (See Rubric).
_____ Landform Essay. Select 4 landforms, two created by constructive forces and two created by destructive forces. Write a short four paragraph essay which describes how each of these are formed (See Rubric).
_____Landform PowerPoint. Select 4 landforms, two formed by constructive forces and two formed by destructive forces. Create a PowerPoint with pictures of these and descriptions. (See Rubric)
