The construction heavy equipments operator is the one who supposed to drive large trucks to transport heavy construction materials form the contractors to the building site. They may be like ordinary drivers, but wearing a hard hat. The person needs to have excellent ability as heavy construction machines demand excellent dexterity and hand-eye reflexes to ensure their safe and effective operation.

  • The operator has to observe assigned shift schedule for satisfactory work attendance on the site.
  • He or she has to comply with operating safety rules and regulations on the site.
  • He or she not only has to operate heavy equipment but has to perform the basic jobs as well such as paving, surfacing and asphalt spreader equipment, back-hoes, bulldozers, rippers and crawler-tractors to open paths for construction works
  • He or she has the duty to operate mechanized drillers and other construction earth movers to pave way for erecting cornerstones and foundation.
  • It will be needed to operate and handle heavy equipments such as lifters to hoist concrete beams and trusses in erecting building.
  • He or she has to operate pavers to lay down asphalt for roads, driveways and parking lots.
  • He or she has to maintain the coordination with the maintenance crew to report any problem with the operation of assigned equipment.
  • He or she has to complete his or her job form for the day to account for work hours
  • He or she has the responsibility to give demonstration as well for operating new heavy equipment products to corporate clients.
