CONSTRUCTION DESIGN OF PILES AND PILE CAPS

ABSTRACT

This project shows the construction design of piles and pile caps. The report is divided into 7 topics and 4 appendixes.

The first topic is the illustration list. This illustration list to show how the internal design of the piles and pile caps consists of. The number of steel bars and dimensions of the piles and pile caps can be obtained.

The second topic is the introduction of my project. At this topic there will be a brief introduction of the definition of piles and pile caps. All the equations used to construct the piles and pile caps will be mentioned there.

For the third topic is the construction. At this topic, the methods and equipment’s used to construct the piles and pile caps are mentioned here as well. The types of equipment to construct, for example the power auger equipment to install the pile. The will be some illustrations and figure to refer to in the appendix.

CONTINUOUS STUDY OF USE OF SCRAP STEEL IN CONCRETE

ABSTRACT

Concrete is the main material for construction nowadays. Basically, concrete is consist of three mainly material, namely cement, water and aggregate (coarse aggregate and fine aggregate). Sometimes, admixture is added to concrete to change or modify certain properties of concrete.

In order to apply the concrete in construction work, steel bars or reinforced is required knows as reinforced concrete. Similarly, same concept is applied to this project title. Scrap steel is becomes the material that I use to investigate. The scarp steel is function as the reinforcement in construction. Three types of scrap steel are used to investigate to find the flexural strength and compressive strength for beams and cubes respectively. The procedure for making and testing the concrete also has been taken account in this project work.

In order to get the consistent result for flexural strength, compressive strength and bending moment through some specific formula, the concrete mix work and the workability is very important. Therefore, concrete mix design is used to determine the content of cement, aggregate and water according to the concrete grade is required, so that, it can achieve the maximum workability to get the consistent results.

DESIGN OF A BASEMENT CAR PARK

ABSTRACT

The basement car park was design as a single story structure. It will have ventilation fire protection and lighting. Each side of view was show in the paper. For design the car park the calculation for each path is needed. The design method was and path of structure will be defined in the paper.

My roof was design as flat slab and it was two ways slabs. The beam was design as continuous beam. The column was design as Biaxial bending column.
