1Meeting the candidates: The Bishop would like to see the candidateshalf an hour before the service begins.

2Confirmation Summary and Declaration: This form is attached. Please print off a hard copy, fill it in on the day and hand it to the Bishop when he signs the Confirmation Register.

3Collection: The collection at the service is for the Bishop of Stepney’s Discretionary Fund. Accordingly:

  1. The order of service should so state.
  2. Please ask your PCC Treasurer to arrange for a cheque for the appropriate sum, drawn in favour of ‘The Bishop of Stepney Discretionary Account’, to be sent to the Bishop’s office as soon as possible after the service.
  3. If the collection includes identified regular giving to the parish e.g. by envelopes, the amounts involved and any recoverable income tax attributable to them belong to the parish, but the parish may wish to consider donating an equivalent amount (net of recoverable income tax) to the Discretionary Fund.
