Job Summary
ALBA Contractors, Inc. has turned a vision into a reality and become the most recognizable general contractor for homeowners, commercial clients and public agencies. We are currently seeking a talented, articulate team leader to join our organization.
This is a full time position. ALBA's corporate office is located in Mentor, Ohio.
Qualifications
- Required: Valid, clean driver’s license.
- Required: Pass a drug / alcohol test on a regular basis.
- Preferred: Class A CDL.
- Preferred: Snow plowing experience.

Knowledge and Skills:
Team Leaders should possess knowledge of construction procedures, methods, practices, materials, equipment, tools, utilities ETC. Applicant should also possess good time management, analytical and problem-resolution skills. Must be motivated, have good written and verbal communication as well as interpersonal skills.
- Minimum of 7-10 years’ experience in the concrete industry.
- Prior leadership skills, managing as a concrete construction team leader.
- Self-Starter that is motivated by a fast paced workplace.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate, prepare and supervise project sites.
- Manage a crew from 3-6 workers.
- Oversee activities of workers and construction needs for all phases.
- Understand blueprints effectively to implement in the field.
- Schedule materials with Project Manager.
- Communicate daily with Project Manager.
- Assign workers their respective duties and ensure that they have the appropriate training and tools to execute accurately.
- Meet company compliance and reporting requirements including accident and incident reports, weekly tailgate meetings, site inspections and daily timekeeping requirements.
- Ensure regulatory needs and safety measurements are maintained.
- Ability to assess the most efficient way to complete a job without sacrificing quality of the work.
- Capable of using laser instruments to set grades.
- Ability to form and finish concrete. (All aspects of finishing and ability to straight edge, bull float, trowel, ETC)
Work Environment / Physical Demands:
This role routinely subjects you to all elements of an outdoor environment, including extreme sun, wind, rain, heat, and cold temperature exposure.
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position:
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to lift, squat and bend
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Working hours vary depending on work load, project deadlines, weather ETC. During prime season there will be required over time.
