Conahy Notes
FOOTBALL
The senior footballers lost out to Dicksboro in their latest game in the JJ Kavanagh & Sons Senior Football League outing on Saturday afternoon last in Jenkinstown. The locals trailed by 0-4 to 0-1 at half-time, and with the superior fitness of the city side keeping them in the ascendancy, they kept in front throughout. Conahy did rally near the end thanks in particular to a goal from a penalty from James Bergin. However, Dicksboro would not be denied as they secured the two league points by winning 1-7 to 1-2.

CONAHY N.S. – CELEBRATING EIGHTY YEARS OF LEARNING.
Conahy N.S. is celebrating 80 years since opening in 1938. The school is compiling a booklet of ‘Fond Memories’ since its opening and it would like as many contributions as possible. If you have any relatives, family, friends or neighbours that attended the school and would like to contribute to the booklet, the school would love to hear from them, as well as looking for any stories /memories/pictures they would like to share too. Any memories can be oral stories either (which some of the children in the school would be willing to record or they can be written). You can contact the school on 056-7767100 or email with any information. The school will hold a celebration of its 80 years towards the end of the school year.
