8th Grade Promotional Assembly –

Things to Know

  • The 8th Grade Promotional Assembly will be held at Piscataway High School Performing Arts Center.
  • Two tickets were mailed to each student on 05/10/16 (students with second mailings each received one ticket per address) along with a permission slip to board the busses to Piscataway High School.
  • Any student who has not returned the permission slip included with the tickets will not be permitted to board the bus for the high school and will not take part in the promotional assembly. (Copy attached for your convenience.)
  • School dress codes will be enforced – no bare shoulders or revealing necklines, dresses or skirts must be fingertip length or longer when arms are straight down at sides (shrugs, sweaters and shawls are permissible to cover shoulders).
  • No food and/or beverages are permitted in the Performing Arts Center.
  • Due to limited parking, please carpool if possible.
  • Parents are asked to park in the Anthony Building (East Wing) lot on the far side of the football field and walk over to the PAC or the dirt lot across Behmer Road.
  • There is no curb side parking permitted on Behmer Road by order of Piscataway Police.
  • Doors will open at approximately 10:00 AM for ticket holders, followed by parents who did not receive their ticket(s), and, lastly, any extra guests will be seated on a space available basis – Please fill in all seats and do not save seats.
  • Any student owing book, library, iPad fines or having a balance with Sodexho will not be permitted to participate in the promotional assembly or rehearsals and will not be permitted to board the bus for the high school.
  • Please be courteous with polite applause so that each family may hear their child’s name announced as they cross the stage – No air horns or other noisemakers are permitted.
  • Students will be dismissed directly to their parent(s) at the conclusion of the ceremony outside of the PAC – If your child will need to be bussed home, please indicate that on the permission slip and return to your child’s homeroom teacher as soon as possible so that we may arrange this with transportation.
  • No balloons will be permitted in the PAC so that everyone may have an unobstructed view.
