JULIUS CAESAR

PROJECT

The following project contains several components that should be completed after watching Julius Caesar. This entire project will be centered on the question: What led to Caesar’s downfall? We will be discussing several themes that may have contributed to his death, so your projects should be centered on those themes. Some of the relevant themes include: greed, betrayal, superstition, ego, fear, power, ambition, etc.

Component 1---Diorama

Create a diorama or build a scene that showcases some scene illustrated in Julius Caesar. This scene should be representative of ONE of the Major THEMES, which you think could have contributed to Caesar’s downfall.

Component 2---Quotes

You should select 5 quotes from the story that represent the THEME that led to Caesar’s downfall. Include them on your diorama. During your discussion you will tell who said the quote, to whom, the significance of the quote, and how or why this quote represents that theme.

Component 3---Line Recitation

Memorize a minimum of 15 consecutive lines. Recite lines using appropriate voice, intonation, etc. for the passage. Be sure to connect lines to the theme you have selected.
