ACCREDITATION GUIDELINES 2018
Media accreditation for the Trinidad and Tobago Energy Conference 2018 is strictly reserved for membersof the press- print, photo, radio, TV, news agencies and online media- who represent a bona fide organisation. Accreditation will be granted upon the presentation of valid press credentials and approval of the communications committee of the Energy Chamber. Documents that must be submitted include:
  1. Completed media accreditation form
The Energy Chamber reserves the right to request a letter of assignment on official letterhead of your media organisation signed by the Editor-in- Chief, specifying the name and function/ title of the journalist.
Print media representatives may be required to submit samples of the publication.
Radio and TV media representatives may be asked to submit recordings of the reports.
Online media must meet the following requirements, in addition to those above:
  1. The web publication must belong to a registered company, such as a media organisation and have a specific, verifiable non-web address and a telephone number.
  2. If the website is new, the applicant seeking accreditation must provide the latest data on the site’s visitors or other relevant material (press citations etc.) about the site’s audience. The applicant must have an established recording of having written extensively on energy and energy related news and must present copies of three recently published articles.
  • Note that online publications which are communications outreach or advocacy publications of non-governmental or non-profit organisations do not qualify for media accreditation.
  • Freelance journalists must provide clear evidence they are on assignment from a specific news organisation or publication. A valid assignment letter from that news organisation or publication is required.
  • Double accreditation: It should be noted that no double accreditation is allowed e.g as a press member and delegate.
You are kindly asked to adhere to the following guidelines for the 2018 Conference:
  • No electronic devices will be allowed on the podium and members of the electronic and print media will receive direct feeds from Stephan Mahabal, our IT&AV support team leader.
  • If you wish to interview any particular speaker or delegate during the course of the conference, please contact us and we will act as facilitators. Please note speakers and delegates have the right to decline interviews or select which media houses they grant interviews to.
  • In keeping with international conference standards, we have a designated area for interviews for the duration of the conference.
  • The Trinidad and Tobago Energy Conference is an international conference and you are asked to wear appropriate business attire.
  • The Energy Chamber of Trinidad and Tobago must be credited as the host of the conference in all features/articles
  • All articles/news items produced using material from the event should be shared with soon as possible after being published/featured.
