Appetizer: For either the fractions/decimals or multiplication/division vocabulary, complete one of the activities below. (In Class – 40 points)

(Complete with a group – Everyone Shares)

1) Create 4 bingo boards using the words below. Include at least 16 words. (don’t place the words in the same order for each card). Then create definition or example cards for each word.

2) Create a crossword puzzle using at least 12 words. Write in clues to help the solver figure out the word. (each partner must have a copy created)

3) Create a matching game with at least 12 of the words and their definition on index cards.

Entrée: Choose one of the following- (60 points)

1)  Create a game board with at least 12 questions, pieces, and rules

2)  Create a song that explains how to multiply and divide and a poster that shows the steps with example problems or create a song that explains how to find equivalent fractions and multiply a fraction and a poster that shows the steps with example problems. ( a written copy of the song should be available)

3)  Videotape yourself solving a multidigit multiplication problem and describe what you are doing to solve it step by step. Include descriptions of times when Use division to check your work * Problem must be approved by teacher. (May

Dessert: (Bonus points)

1)  Take a recipe and show how it could be multiplied to feed many. Bring in the original.

2)  Write a play or story or poem that shows how the first person learned to multiply.

3)  Keep a record of playing First in math – have your parent/guardian sign it each time you practice your math facts (multiplication/division)
