QUESTION: What will a Family Support Contact do?

ANSWER: The Contact will:

·  Support and advocate for the entire family in academic and social matters related to school,

·  interact (with permission from parent) with school personnel by accompanying parents to school conferences, meetings, etc.,

·  act as a counselor to provide advice/ suggestions pertaining to educational matters,

·  serve as a gate-keeper or broker of services by seeking out resources and making contacts to help the family get what is needed,

·  serve as a prayer partner with the family,

·  interface with the Pastor in order to share family updates.

WHAT TO DO NEXT: Parents are to have input regarding who the Family Support Contact might be. Please circle 3 people from the Committee with whom you would like to work. If there is no preference, check “No preference”. Return this sheet to a Committee member.
