COMP Cams® Interstate Cup Sprint Car Series Announced

Memphis, TN− I-30 Speedway (Little Rock, Arkansas) and Riverside International Speedway (West Memphis, Arkansas) have teamed up to offer a bonus program for Sprint Car teams in the Mid-South area, and it's being tabbed as the COMP Cams® Interstate Cup.

The COMP Cams® Interstate Cup has been created to reward drivers for competing at both tracks. For 2011, the tracks have arranged their schedules to not run Winged 360 c.i. Sprint Cars on the same night to allow racers to run for points at each track. Each weekly racing series points event at both tracks will count toward a driver's point total in the program. A driver will be allowed to miss one event at each track and still be eligible for points money and prizes, but there will be no drop races. Points acquired in all races will count toward the final total.

The minimum payout for the final COMP Cams® Interstate Cup will be the following: 1)$1,500 2)$800 3)$700 4)$600 5)$500.As more sponsors are secured the payout may be increased. COMP Cams® has also posted the following contingency prizes for the top five finishers:

Additional contingencies are lining up for the competition as well, including Hoosier Racing Tire, who will be donating tires to be given away, as well as a Hoosier Champion's jacket.

In addition to money and contingencies, the program will reward provisionals.
